This nonsense debate about Haaland not being a complete footballer is ridiculous. Put a right back at the number 9 position and see how they do. Put a center back as an attacking winger and see how they do. Put a keeper as a number 6 and see how they do. The point is players specialize in positions. With a small percentage of players being able to rotate between multiple positions at the very elite level. This talk about Haaland only being a goal scorer but not a footballer is ridiculous. And it shows how much people don’t actually watch him play. His touch, ability to link up, and his ability to play a ball are all highly underrated. By this logic, the likes of Kane, Shearer, Lewandowski, etc are only goal scorers and not "complete players". Nonsense.,

A playmaker has relative freedom with the ball, and mostly in attack, you get to shoot from outside the box or rather choose to pass it up to whoever is available to score. But it's often overlooked that the most creative playmakers are not always able to produce timely passes. This applies to wingers as well. The Centre Forward is the most important position because it delivers the final touch and makes the difference. This is totally justifiable. The striker has to be alert and always has to anticipate a potential pass from every angle. It's even harder than simply advancing the ball and kicking it into mid-air for the striker to then score. Not every time does the striker receive a perfect pass, otherwise, the likes of Haaland wouldn't have to do those acrobatic finishes. You need to be good with or without the ball. Haaland is a complete striker and elite at what he does. Is he a complete player? NO. In fact, there is no one as such. Can a striker be better than a playmaker? Yes, but it has to be selective among top 1%. Haaland belongs in that category.
