Andy was one of the martial artists who actually could USE the Axe kick very effectfully and not just had it as a “flexibel” show- like kick....I admire his skills a lot....respect to Andy and R.I.P.

Insane power and technique. The only saving grace is that it looks a bit telegraphed when he loads up but I guess that doesn't matter when he cuts your leg in half

<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="15">0:15</a> I really like that he incorperates the hikite to generate more power but what you gain in power you lose in your guard, using the hikite like this opens your jaw up amd gives you alot less time to react since you have to bring your hands back up, although this concept needs work its awesome for getting that one really good hit in that could down your oppenent wether aimed at the face or body.

i never flexed in my life but i can do the axe kick above my head and im 188 cm what you need to do is practice it often and swing it up with power so its stretches the muscles

Cro cop did an axe kick because of andy, cause andy was his roll model when mirko was still a teenager.Then in 2000 mirko had the chance to fight andy, and during the match mirko surprised andy with an axe kick, and then they smile at itch other and touched gloves.It was beautiful moment.OSS!!
