If Roman had still owned Chelsea they obviously won’t have sold virtually all their UCL winners and top 3 finishers and bought expensive injury prone kids so Chelsea would never have got themselves into this mess. However, as we are where we are, it is absolutely insane to sack the one manager who has a history of building a young team into title challengers and even taking them to the UCL Final. If Poch was given a chance next season it is almost certain he would have got into the top 4, but instead the owners have chucked it all away. People keep saying he doesn’t win trophies but who are Chelsea planning to appoint? Not Pep, not Klopp, not Jose. They are talking about Kieran McKenna who has won nothing and proved nothing as he hasn’t managed a single PL game. Poch was the ultimate project manager for improving a young team. If he had this team finishing in the top 4 for a couple of years but couldn’t win the title then maybe find a true winner but with Pep winning 6 out of 7 PL titles and Klopp retired there ain’t many proven winners left.

Russell doesn’t like Pochettino because he had coach spurs before is such small minded thinking.. Pochettino was the right manager at the right time for us. I have no faith in this new ownership going forward and want them gone.

Mourinho and Conte were also unable to secure any major trophies at Spurs, rendering the criticism of Pochettino's lack of significant titles irrelevant. Additionally, it's worth noting that investment in the club reportedly ceased after Spurs reached the Champions League final.

(Spurs fan here). Mourinho and Conte also didn't really have the opportunity to win much. Mourinho was sacked 5 days before the league cup final. Investment absolutely didn't cease after the champions league final... we spent more than the previous 3 years combined to get N'Dombele, Lo Celso and a few others. HOWEVER Poch wanted a complete re-build, which Levy wasn't in a position to provide. Poch got very grumpy behind closed doors and in public, and subsequently kind of didn't give anyone much choice.

United and Arsenal had worse injury records this term than Chelsea, but still, they had a lot. I don't think it was fully a Chelsea decision to let Poch go. I think he wanted assurances that he'd have some freedom in the summer to sign and let go of certain players and Boehly wants a "head coach" who will accept whatever transfer decision are made above him (i.e. the Yes Man)

I'm celebrating too, that Arsenal game was disgusting. The first caller summed it by saying Poch was forced into making changes with Enzo out the picture with Galladog and Caicedo playing in midfield then he does the inverted LWB with Cucu which worked a treat but we were playing this way 9 months ago in last season's friendlies and it worked brilliantly and then the season started and he forgot all about it It is worth remembering that Poch walked and he wasn't sacked he might fancy the Bayern job and I wasn't convinced he wanted to stay. But all that doesn't matter now it matters who he Boehly brings in now. If I had a wish we would replace the owners and our sporting directors except Joe but that won't happen and Chelsea fans would love Tuchel but the owners have no bottle to do that so it rests on who comes in.

Under Scolari and AVB Chelsea’s results were getting worse and worse. There isn’t anyone on earth who thinks Chelsea would have beaten Napoli with AVB in charge. Under Pochettino, despite having a totally inexperienced team of kids and an injury crisis like no other, Chelsea were getting better and better as the season went on. The first couple of months they could hardly score and were miles behind Spurs and Aston Villa. In the second half of the season Chelsea had a similar record to Liverpool and were one of the highest scorers. In the last 6 games Chelsea had a record close to Man City and Arsenal. That is clear upward trajectory. With Chelsea playing at a top 4 level.

Writing was on the wall for poch since mid season imo. What wins did he have that made anyone think that a corner was turned after xmas. Breaking it down quickly here Imo he got lukcy against everton and west ham. They didnt turn up and you can basically add spurs and villa to that list as well. They were no were near thier best and in fact both have been poor since turn of year anyways for whatever reason. Then you look at some of the othwr games with teams that had something to play for ie league or relegation arsenal, Liverpool, city we were out classed. Then you look at the other end of the table we just by skin of our teeth beat Luton and NF. Then dropped poitns against Burnley and SU. Basically my point is poch just looked decent againt the teams with nothing to play for really.

And on the manager front id like to see Sergio Conceica appointed. He showed me what he can do in them with an average team in CL. He seems like the type of guy the players will respect. Has that no nonsense look about him. Which personally I like to see. Poch was just a nice guy. And briefly my belief is that Chelsea just want to buy all the best young players in the world and sell them for profit at 25-28 years of age for big profits. Am not totally against that idea as long as the player wanted to go and we were replacing them with another high quality young player.

Since day 1 poch played 3cbs and 3cms. It ruined the balance. Enzo injury allowed 2 wingers system with cucu inverting. Poch will stick with Gallagher and it ruins the midfield. Can't imagine selecting Gallagher over Enzo so again sacrificing a winger. Thank God we got rid of Poch and Gallagher should follow soon.
