The legend goes that Angel once made a deal with the Devil. What Angel got from the deal we may never know, but the Devil got guitar lessons.

Dude......I'm a drummer and I can't even touch keeping up with the magnitude of these riffs. The drummer doesn't get enough credit. Unquestionably one of the smokinest Kat's out there. No pressure , right ? Progressive metal. A new appreciation. Vocals are not only often glamor boy stage hogs but lyrics set the frame of a song and dictates our thoughts while listening. Angel Vivaldi is a premium example of Prog. Metal and frees the mind to our own aspirations. I'm bipolar as hell and it's almost hard to not feel like Achilles or some other mythical archetypical hero listening to it.

I like to think Jon Lord had a lot to do with the way we play guitar. He made that keyboard sing, and sound so cool somewhat distorted. Many guitarists tried their best to emulate that and like Andy and Angel were very successful at it.

@emayfrit5 жыл бұрын
I watched the whole video at various speeds, at 65 percent, Angel's solo at 3:19 is absoultely no less Legendary, words don't describe this majestically passionate and perfection of playing. Andy James and Angel Vivaldi join forces to play one of the best tracks that will ever be played on guitar!
@scepticoptimist29765 жыл бұрын
What you got to realize is that what you see here doesn't equal to what you hear. These tracks were cut in small pieces, down to single notes, sampled, processed, then glued together, rhythm parts cloned. Solos played at slower speed and then sped up with software.That's why people refer to this kind of playing as 'sterile': the ear and brain discern unnatural evenness before you realize it.

I play guitar and I've noticed when most other guitarists see or hear someone up to Angel and James's caliber of playing they say they want to stop playing a quit. I'm the opposite. I want to pick up and play even harder. I'm so inspired. I love these two. I've been struggling with drugs for a number of years and I picked up guitar to keep me busy and keep my mind occupied. Playing seems to keep me from using. Music is an amazing thing . GETCHA PULL!
