It's a study that shows strong evidence that the major difference between good musicians and great musicians is that great musicians have practiced on average at least 10k hours by the time they are 20 years old. I am 51 and have been playing since I was 13, and I played in clubs, made some good side money. I played around Austin TX in the late 80s early 90's. But then the economy went to shit and my fathers heath declined, so I had to go back to a day job. Of course i don't get to practice as much. But hey, only a few of us get to make it in music-a simple fact. To get this guys level, you have to practice 10 plus hours a day. That is for younger people though. my fingers just don't move that fast anymore. But I am not bitter about it like some people would, I still love music and I still play my guitar
