Must be something great about this song: when at the young age of 64, I am rockin' gently to this song!!! Aaahhh the memories!! Thanx Andy👍👍😁😁😁

I have listened to several 'Disco Purrfection' remixes - always a pleasure - but I have to hand it to this particular mix which takes the original single track and mixes it seamlessly with the instrumental B-side. Incredibly blended. Really stunning stuff.
@DJDiscoCat6 жыл бұрын
thanks, this one took a while to complete, the sonics of the single vocal and instrumental version were not the same. I had to jiggle around a lot to make it sound right, but I think it came out ok. Thanks and hope you will keep checking me out here...

@@teddyritola2655 I'm talking about '70's and '80's music in general. Music changed for me in the '90's. It just wasn't the same. I was born in 1962 and enjoyed music from the '50's too. My parents played albums and radio all the time. So '50's music was pretty good too.

Mr. Kim is an under celebrated talent - but I sometimes wonder if the production of his vocals contributed to that 'awful' phenomenon known as 'instant radio': that stardom was/is often made by a voice/timbre so distinctive that it is recognized within a second or two (Anne Murray and Karen Carpenter are two period examples that come to mind) - often regardless of that singer's other talents. Phil Spector produced him to sound like John Lennon (intentionally?) in 'Baby, I Love You' - and here, yes, he can be mistaken for Neil Diamond to the uncultivated ear. Glad to see so many keep his music playing with these various posts.

As mentioned by others, this track has an awesome bassline. What I want to know is how in the world it wasn't Lee Sklar or Chuck Rainey? (BTW, it was Max Bennett, who was another great session bassist.) With Michael Omartian on keyboard, and Dean Parks and Larry Carlton on guitar, one would think that one of these gentlemen would have been on the bass! 😎
