@Santan it could be argued that hed would of had that fight under frank a bit earlier knowing Canelos camp have never gotten on with Eddie, I don't know all the in and outs, not sure if frank is recived well by them either. Could also be argued that both ggg and Canelo have been occupied with fighting each other twice, why would either of them go looking backwards into the ranks to fight billy. We all knew if Billy kept fighting it was only a matter of time before either of them would have to meet. I don't think the fight would be souly eddies doing. Billy I think mostly went to Eddie because of that huge easy KZbin fight payday event. Offering him big money for a small but big event. I've heard they're both up to no good in terms of corrupt promoters, but cant help but feel for frank, hes had to take on all the other promoters over the years such as don king for example. Hes held the British boxing empire for decades and now its slowly fighter by fighter coming to and end. I bet he wakes up every morning and thanks the day he took fury from Mick Hennessy, without Tyson he'd be fucked.

As an Irishman I’m very proud of all the sports men and women we have produced but Andy Lee will always be my hero for being a fantastic person inside and out of the sport even when he shook BJ’s sons hand it just showed how class of an act he is. he did everything he had too in the sport I’ve never seen him thrash talk the way sometimes billy does and as much as it’s part of the game plan Lee is so likeable for not being that type of man. Hope you are enjoying your retirement Andy it’s well deserved you will always be our champ❤️

Why did Lee defend his title in the UK against a British fighter and 3 British judges? Bad Management, the champion should be dictating the terms of the contract. Lee is too nice for his own good. He put the hard work in going to the US to win that title and then defends it on a FW promotion. This fight should have been held in Ireland on Andy's terms and a rematch clause should have been in place. I feel for Andy. At least BJS mentioned a rematch, but the title is Franks Warrens now, bad management by Lee's people, such a nice guy deserves better.

When Quillin vacated this WBO belt Saunders and Korobov were due to fight for the vacant strap. Lee got the shot only on the condition that he fight the winner of Eubank-Saunders. I know what you're saying, and I like both guys, but if Lee's manager (Adam Booth) hadn't gone this route he may still be waiting for a title shot now. Andy isn't exactly young so I think they did the right thing, and no doubt made some good money from Korobov, Quillin, Saunders fights. Ideally though as you rightly say you want more control of the situation. Only way to do this is through being a mandatory, which is what BJS and FW achieved.

World middleweight champion? What a joke! He openly admits that GGG is the best in the division yet still prides himself as a world champion? I understand that he needs to do what's in his best interests but don't act as if you're the best middleweight in boxing. Billy Joe knows fighting Golovkin would be almost a certain loss. Frank Warren's expression was priceless when Saunders first mentions Golovkin's name. He wants nothing to do with the Kazakh Killer! Understandable, who wants to get themselves humiliated in the ring the way Lemieux was. Especially when the money won't be worth the beating!

Rematch! Lee looked every bit his age and still managed to win the 2nd half of the fight. If it wasn't for the twin knockdowns in round 3, this would have been a draw. Lee deserves the rematch, it was a close fight. On fight night neither really looked like a real threat to Jacobs, Canelo, or especially GGG. Lee has a good chance of winning the rematch.

Mr Warren is taking the same route with Billy Joe as he took for Joe Calzache by protecting him throughout his career. Warren and Calzache refused to give a rematch to Robin Reed after they won a controversial decision against him. Joe Calzache was lucky that an old Hopkins and Jones Jr fought him at the end of his career or his resume would have even more crappy. They are scared of Eubanks Jr because they know that he would stop Saunders next time around.

Billy Joe did not deserve to take the title from Andy Lee with his negative performance. Apart from the knock downs he didn't do jack and could not take the title like that. Eubank is the more improved of the 2 fighters and I hope he moves to the states under Haymon and the Mayweather training band. There is no way Billy beats Eubank again if you analyse the first fight.
