thats why a gravitated towards playing antione dufour stuff more. andy just doesnt do much tutorial stuff.

Been playing for around 44 years and thought my Chet Atkins style was always cool until I found Andy/Don years ago. The sad thing for me was that although I loved their groove, I never got into changing the tuning and I'm sure if I had done that, my sound would be a whole lot different today. The one awesome thing watching this kind of thing ( especially with such great talent like Andy and Don ) is that I don't feel inferior at all to these guys because they're just that great and humble. I could never master things like Andy and Ross this late in the game (I'm 54 ) but still I would love to be able to catch up a little bit hahahaha.. You guys make the rest of us feel welcomed and comfortable and feel like we can accomplish more with just practice so thank you very much for being so down to earth honest guys, you've changed many players over the years. Meanwhile he plays it a bit different. He doesn't double the E-string and uses E on D-string for the second strike. He also doesn't use the D-string for the percussive muted strike and uses the G-string instead.

I add my name to the comments in FINALLY understanding all the subtle sounds in the lick, many thanks. But oh my, how the two guys with the camera annoy the hell out of me. Constantly trying to chip in with their comments. "just repeat that a couple of times" when there's still complicated bits to show! I watch the video for Andy and Andy only. OK DJ is there too, but I hate how people try and inject themselves into conversations like this. Other guy makes things worse by lecturing Andy on the "farting" bit. Please just let Andy speak and shut up!

Lovely variation by Don Ross on his version of Tight Trite Night, at 4:50 - 4:54. I don't know how to do that variation. It sounds easy, but amazing!
