Of course, playing a musical instrument uses all of your body, mind and soul. Jon is a good example of this pursuit, art, and evolution.

With a band, there's more of a possibility of disagreements with band mates; whereas by himself, there's no tension in disagreeing with your own ideas.

Absolutely astounding what one man can do with a guitar. And guitarists all over the world owe musicians such as this so much, they really pave the way. Also the fact that they are willing to give master classes is fantastic, it allows other musicians to gain some insight into the genius they possess. Please don't stop creating music which makes my jaw drop every time I hear it.

his approach to guitar/drums/percussion/songwriting is just astounding. A year ago I saw his Passionflower video, and it changed how I viewed the instrument and it's musical limitlessness forever. :)

It's all very well, Jon, for you to explain how your guitar is a drum kit, but that doesn't explain your outrageous talent!!
@bennemann8 жыл бұрын
He does. He says he began playing guitar at four. It's not so much innate talent as it is hard work, all his life, since the tenderest age.
@oggaming73625 жыл бұрын
The word talent undermines the action of a lifetime of dedicated practice. He's been playing guitar since he was 4.

The wobbling is because of post-process image stabilization. You can see the Tech logo in the top right dancing around because of it. It keeps Jon's guitar stable so we can see what he's doing, but distorts the background. Still though, great vid.

drumstik The tuning he uses is Eb, G, Bb, F, G, Bb BUT! you may want to use it a whole tone higher, F, A, C, G, A, C It'll work better with normal strings then

playing guitar like this kinda seems like a cult thing to me, seeing as how Ive been searching for months on a place to get some solid advice and structured lessons on this style and have found very little. so many people want to learn but cant unless they go to berkley or some other crazy expensive academic hall. you are a very good teacher sir perhaps you should make a dvd set or something to fully enlighten others who would enjoy this gift as much as you.
