Andy Mineo is my favorite artist. I stopped listening to hip hop for the longest time. I put Lecrae take me as I am on pandora and one of Andy’s songs came on. I’ve been glued since then. Reflection and Honest 2 God are some of my favorites. Reflections hits home for me he talks about meeting a lady in a hospital that found her music when she was battling with addiction. When I found Mineo’s music I was a year and a few months sober and falling apart. Listening to music that is positive changed me personally! Still sober to this day. The best gifts was I got a Birthday present a few years ago tickets to his show I was able to take a friend of mine. That night my friend told me about NF. Than the I was able to get tickets to NF on my 6th sobriety birthday. I never thought of others just me but listening to the positive stuff leads one to positive places. This video is 🔥. That musical break is called syncopation. It’s when the emphasis in a rhythm is changed from what the listener is expecting. It creates tension for the listener, almost forcing them to hold their breath in anticipation of the beat returning to normal. Done well, it’s incredibly effective, and Andy does it very well here.
