Andy Rooney if you were still here I would still tell you the truth about Thanksgiving! But Mike Tirico the announcer of the SF 49ERS AND SEA HAWKS football game gave his take on what Thanksgiving is all about. He said, "Thanksgiving is all about love and thankfulness." Now, I don't believe in organized protesting to get your point across as these protesters did during the Macy's parade but, educating the public about the facts of the matter is where I will leave it and the choice of the people to be acceptable to it or be ignorant (stupid) about it is their choice! But Thanksgiving originally had nothing to do with love and thankfulness instead it had everything to do with Genocide and Greed. That is the truth about the American Thanksgiving Holiday. And thankfully I refuse to celebrate with the rest of the ignorant people who say differently. Don't believe me? Just ask an American Indian about what happened to their ancestors about the original Thanksgiving and how it started or just stay ignorant 🤷♂️

I'm an elementary school teacher, and I enjoy Easter so I like to put up the classroom's Easter decorations 2 days before Valentine's Day. When we take pictures for Valentine's Day, there are pastel colors and Easter eggs all over the wall. And at the end of the year just before the summer in mid-June, I like to decorate the classroom for fall, because who doesn't love fall?

Each year the start of Halloween and Christmas is different. '23 was one of the earliest for both in 10 years. Halloween commercials were broadcast in late August and Christmas decor and city lights were up at the end of September. Maybe New Year's Day will move up to December 17.

I miss Andy Rooney and his slightly satirical and peppery commentaries. 30% of the annual income for stores is the good old days. Some stores it's risen to 50% or more of the annual income helps to support the store the rest of the year. You can't find the toy store anymore except for a very small section at Walmart and even a tinier section at Target. Forget about October for Christmas decorations and merchandise. This year it began in September. And I saw Kohl's rearranging a back corner which turned out to be where they put all the children's toys and merchandise for Christmas. Back 30 plus years ago I joked in high school that it has just become one massive shopping calendar for retail chains. Even more so today and adding online merchants.

Not everyone has family to spend it with. Some people like that holiday pay. You assume an awful lot.
@haydensanford198710 ай бұрын
@@jerseytomato100That is a small minority. So you think that because a few people don't have family or friends, it's okay to make people work on holidays? You remind me of schools not allowing peanut butter because someone might be allergic to them. My childs school did that and I asked them how many children are allergic to peanuts. They told me zero. In Massachusetts only convenience stores are open. I'm glad you don't run my state.

Well, Andy Rooney would be fired up now that Thanksgiving has become a consumer extravaganza too with Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The man’s perspective that Thanksgiving is a day for doing nothing except eating and watching football is fairly maddening. It takes days to prep that meal. He clearly has never contributed to the cooking!

God loves you and takes care of you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this great universe and has complete control over it. And the greatest loss that a person loses in this life is that he lives while he does not know God who created him, knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. The great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and then you have the choice to believe in it or not. I advise you on this now before you do not have time to do that.
