I think he's pricing himself out. In all honesty, even though the Ortiz fight was last year, I feel like its been ages since he's fought. Fighting Zhang rn would honestly be a win win situation for both guys, a boost in reputation for both and gets to keep both guys active. With a rematch clause, or perhaps a trigology set up, it could be "easy" money. But I have no idea what Ruiz is thinking. Maybe he's thinking if he loses, just might call it quits, since he's got the bag. Perhaps he was trynna call it quits after the loss to AJ, but he realized how quick he was burning through cash and how hard IRS hits. Or maybe boxing is just to pay the bills, and he's not really 100% about legacy.

Ruiz was never a Top HW contender, the AJ fight was a stroke of luck, and your right, he thinks he's more than his worth, if he keeps that up he won't see the inside of the ropes for a good while, like u said, he needs to significantly reduce his price point, get in the ring and work for the big pay deals, the problem is at that level I don't think he wants to endure that kind of punishment for 1/4 or 1/2 his worth, to much pain😂
