Andy is a powerhouse. this guy is insanely talented and its a shame more people don't know about the audiobooks, which must have been exhausting to record. he puts so much energy into every single character its just insane.

I just started listening to the audiobooks and I totally agree, each voice is so unique and spot on and there’s never a lull. Thinking about it now I feel the casting is what made the movies so great, in the sense that there’s so many powerhouses like Serkis, Wood, Astin, Morrison, Monaghan, Bean, JRD, and Urban that were not, and still aren’t, household names or are just becoming so. These are some of the greatest underrated actors alive

Andy's voice is second to none, but can we just talk about how epic his hair is here?

I love that you get to hear him do additional proper Gollum. Actually written by Tolkien and not just Football scores or shopping lists.

This is now the one and only way to enjoy the LOTR. It's above and beyond. The telling, the voices, the songs by different characters in different emotional states, the Quenya, the Sindarin ... Even Tolkien would agree. He should be knighted for this. Sir Andy Serkis he already is to me.

@@jd0879 it's relevant to Andy Serkis reading "The Fellowship of the Ring", available through Audible.

I finished the Hobbit Audiobook, and can't wait to hear the Lord Of the Rings! Andy Serkis does a wonderful job at turning these classics into an audio experience!!!

I read them all in a row and then jumped to The Hobbit and at the end I couldnt help but to start FOTR again. This is a masterpiece on its own, at least at the same level as the movies, if not higher since this is pure Tolkien.

I love his voice - he is obviously a great choice to read LOTR . However, he is the second reader I have heard to say one line in Bilbo's speech not as written in the book! It should be " and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." The readers leave out the second "half". The way Tolkien wrote it seems more amusing to me, and more confusing for the Hobbits!

Inglis masterfully reads to you. Serkis entertains you through oration. There is a difference yet it is not quite fair to compare them, apples to oranges as they say
