Either way, what needs to happen is the Academy needs to start taking performance capture more seriously, instead of brushing it off as CGI nonsense.

The thing is, it was clear from the start that things were gonna end up like this. This is due to the fact that the UK is geographically in Europe, and therefore most of the trade is gonna happen in Europe. If you put up barriers, it's imperative that it will affect trade with the EU. Therefore, for the economy to not suffer a heart attack, UK would have never completely left, it would just make it seem it had left the EU, so most of the voters would have been fooled by such move.
