I am so grateful to Loudermilk for introducing me to this song. Only wish I would've discovered it years ago. Love this song.

Loudermilk is like house MD in so many ways. Sarcastic, somewhat depressed main character, out standing emotional soundtrack, manages to pull off being both funny and really emotional, doesnt ruin every emotional scene with some poorly timed joke, etc.

Last night, dancing slow in turning light With you caught in my eye Well twist your ankle, leave my side Goodnight, I’m tossing in the towel again Go laugh with all your friends oh I don’t really understand them Everybody’s laughing at me just let me walk home Oh god, stumble over to the door Trashed and out of line Oh I don’t think the fault is all mine Last night, dancing slow in turning light I watched you walk right by Well twist my ankle, stay by your side Everybody’s laughing at me I can’t make a sound Everybody’s laughing at me I wish I’d just stayed home

Nevermind, found it! Quite a different feel due to tempo, instrument, and harmony, but basic melody is essentially the same, well, pretty much, other than, the musical "context" around it. Interesting. kzbin.info/www/bejne/boqbl3epipWbjposi=t1dQwuCDb5fTSS_b&t=139

Hey Jon, I've been a fan of mgmt for a while now and discovered Andy just now. Your comment has made me pair them against each other and I've come to the conclusion that Andy has a better and even more varied instrumentality while MGMT has much more experimental vocals and better (more complex to be honest) lyrics. Felt like sharing that for some reason
