I live in Dallas, TX. See Andy all the time, took a lesson from him last year (just to say I did it) and jammed with him. He's a rare breed of speed, versatility, technique, SOUL, phrasing, melody, AND if you ever met him, a Prince of a guy. And he looks really cool when he plays...................

I just saw him at a more recent show at the Iridium Club. His set was rather short but sweet. He played a mix of some classic Jazz bits along with the classics (Electric Gypsy, Cry For You) and Strawberry Fields of his Sergeant Pepper Album. I met him after the show and I can attest to TexasAxeSlinger. Just a nice guy who happens to both make me want to quit playing and inspire me to be better at the same time. I'm definitely looking him up next time he's in the area.

There are many guys out there who can match this... but I gotta say that I do believe no one can beat this performance. That was the absolute top of the top. Unreal. Unbelievable. Ive been amazed at the Album version of this song for many years... never got on to watch KZbin. Wow. What was I doing?

He seemed to be playing in a more energetic style with his solo band. I liked his take on the jazz standards though at the more recent show. Check out clip from that show on this channel as well.
