Both Helen Reddy and Andy Williams left out the best line Paul had in this song! LIFE IS LIKE A CIRCUS, THEY UNDERPAY AND OVERWORK US! THOUGH WE SELDOM GET OUR DO, WHEN EACH DAY IS THROUGH,I BRING MY TIRED BODY HOME TO BE WITH YOU!

I havnt check but I am confident you are correct. If those lyrics were in the 2nd chorus / that would explain it as the Andy W rendition is only the 1st chorus- bridge- 2nd ending It is a beautiful song. Helen Reddy and Andy did it justice

Andy was always known for his laid back easy style, yet he pushes harder on this song than any other version I have heard. Also, like Helen Reddy he left out the "Life can be a circus.." refrain that Paul Williams (the original lyricist) sings.
