“Underrated” in what way? He cut 40+ albums, with numerous (over a dozen) gold, and 3 platinum. I’m 63, and remember (vaguely) many of his easy listening hits, and his Christmas specials on TV. I WAS surprised to learn that he had a variety show that ran from ‘62 to ‘71. We must not have watched that when I was growing up.

Had Andy not married Claudine Longet no one would be speaking of his affairs because they are run of the mill for Hollywood. He had zero spousal abuse legal cases, he was married and divorced numerous times which is common in society and Hollywood and overall was known as a nice guy. The Claudine Longet and Spider Sabich case was a big deal in the media in the mid 70's which although Andy Williams had nothing to do with it he got dragged into it by association to his ex-wife Claudine Longet. As life often turns out, the Spider Sabich and Claudine Longet story has faded into the mists of time but how is it remembered 50 plus years later? In association to Andy Williams who had nothing to do with it.

He wasn't married Multiple times He was marked to Claudine until their Divorce in in 1975, and it wasn't until around the 1990s he married a woman named Debbie and they stayed married until his death in 2012. As far as his SO CALLed AFFAIR with Kate Thomas that was way before he was married to Claudine. He stayed Faithful to Claudine. As far as ROBERT Kennedys wife Ethel, they were very Close Friends with Robert Kennedy and Andy's wife Claudine was also. They even named after Bobby Kennedy. Get your facts straight.

I have been a fan of Andy Williams since i was 12 im 66 now. He didn't have affairs.. that was never ever mentioned in these so called rag magazines, through out all these yrs decades and decades i think that would have been talked about in these magines. After him and Claudine divorced in the 7os he didn't even remary until the 90s because he said not only did he still loved Claudine but he didn't believe in divorce. Affairs was NOT the reason for their divorce. Get your facts straight. Andy Williams cannot defend himself

If you read Andy's auto-biography none of this would come as a surprise. He mentioned most of this in subtle ways in that book. He put his divorce from Claudine as his own fault because of his numerous affairs. His proclivity for much younger girls was well known. Claudine was an example of that. Another example was his years long relationship with a young college student he met in Hawaii in the latter 1970s or possibly early 1980s. He married his 2nd wife, Debbie Haas, when she was 35 and he was 63. During this marriage there were zero "scandals" in Andy's life. They married in 1991 and were inseparable until his death in 2012.
