Great sunrise session Andy, I agree that I do have quite a few fish tear themselves loose on the double clutches. As long as at least one stays for a feed!

Cheers mate, hopefully I will have a better strike rate next time!

Great session Andy. The Tailor seem to be hanging around the river in bigger than usual numbers. It's sometimes hard to locate them if there's no bird activity but you hit paydirt on this occasion. Despite one or two lost fish that was a great morning's fishing. I just love our magnificent river mate and your vids always hit the spot.

Cheers Mike, it looks promising for a great summer chasing tailor, hopefully we can all get out there and bag a few!

They been pumping recently. Managed to snag a couple on a 60mm popper just as an experiment. The trusty 5 and 10g halco twisty always getting it done though

Good stuff on the ever reliable twistys mate, though I prefer 20 gram for a bit of distance on the cast.

Great session Andy! I’ve noticed the bigger fish will turn the yak and got to wondering, have you ever hooked one big enough that it took you for a ride across the river? Also wondered if the anti reverse issue caused the line to go slack and allowed them to spit the hooks. From what I’ve seen you are a good fisho and wouldn’t lose that many on a normal day. Cheers buddy. 👍🤙
@paddlefisher3 ай бұрын
Yeah, I hooked a mulloway once and was dragged around for a while before I lost it. I might keep that reel for squidding, the anti reverse is in bad condition but squid are much more forgiving on gear than fish. Cheers mate!

Are your trebles the problem? Maybe need replacing.

Trebles are fine, I am just a hopeless fisherman 😁

@paddlefisher B.S. you're great. Love watching your vids . Keep up the great content. BTW. Personal question (of course you don't have to answer) You sound so much like my brother. Are you asthmatic?

No, not asthmatic.

Funny(not funny) what you were saying about not trusting the double clutch and then dropping every other fish after that! Murphys law
