I have this same one, read the manual!! The plastic cover is a heat protector NOT TO BE USED WHEN DEVICE IS ON!! It’s to prevent a burn injury!!

There is flame adjustment, it is a red slider. Also for refueling no adapter is required, but you need to put a rubber gasket on the filler, so it doesn't leak. You can get one from any cigarette lighter. Otherwise it works well.

I found the flame adjustment now. It doesn't seem to make much difference though. It does change it a bit, but not as much as I would have expected. I'll try the trick with the rubber O-ring.

This thing is a nightmare to fill, just get gas spray all over more stays out than goes in I've tried all the ends, mine is 98% same except it has a different model number and a newer date 2023-10 , and model WWS-GLK9-YO2 , IAN 436738_2304 Wish you could add pic in reply as mine come with a green Parkside brand tin of gas with the end in but also the case is slightly different, they added a space for extra filling heads, then a slot for the tip as the tip won't fit on the iron inside case if attached due to the space they made for refill adapters 3 of the same type they have notch across them which makes no sense and gas goes every were, anyone manged ro get this thing filled without spray going all over, I like the idea of it, if I can get it to fill and last more than 3mins.

I found it works ok! Issue I had is the pointy tip didn’t work great and after a few uses the flat tip has broken! Tips break though so for price worth the ability to use anywhere without restriction! Just be careful of the exhaust hole near the tip! :)

Too late I got burnt 🙃 lol, and its dam hot and cam make it awkward to use at times, at different angles.

I answer from Germany. Filling with gas is ok as you did. It says (in the German version) in the description max.1 second! in just one short burst. And it would be full as soon as gas leaks out. My question to everyone is: What is the maximum time someone has soldered with one filling? Thanks and best regards

That's a very good question. It all depends if you re-light it every time you want to use it or if you keep it lit in one hand. It seems to last a good few minutes. However I use it more as a heat gun for heat shrink sleeves on cables than I do as a soldering iron.

Mine lasted about 3 to 4 mins ,but I was assuming it wasn't getting filled properly with gas as it's ridiculous to fill this thing, even with the upgraded model I have.

Do not use the green protector when the gas is on. It is to stop burns when the device is off and cooling.
