End grain is more valuable and is true butcher block. So they’re much thicker, and higher quality boards to begin with. The inlays bring things to another level. I would think with devising a caul system, one could apply plenty of pressure for the inlays, with some bar clamps but the press is definitely easier, more efficient and, well..better👍.! Great business man and I really like his style. Willing to share (techniques and also struggles, learning curve etc), sincere and not at all arrogant, in spite of his success. Much to learn and appreciate about this guy! Can’t wait to check out his site. Andy, still don’t have a cnc machine so hadn’t visited ur site in a while but I’m reminded of how I liked you and your generosity in sharing and teaching. Thx again!

have you machined any burl pieces? If you could do it, it would look incredible , with the eccentric grain characteristics of burl. I have much admiration of your art. As a person that also has worked with wood in different applications for 40+ years, anything done in this medium, even using the CNC, is still a one-off, unique......the grain is the trees fingerprint in a way, all different, and beautiful. great to watch someone create functional art.❤
