Off the wall question. Can u recommend mid level CNC that are ~100% stainless steel/no rust parts? Florida garages get humid regularly. Thanks

What range of pricing was Fivrr? I’ve used it a few times and ended up spending a whole lot more than anticipated with hit and miss talent.

The bit is always tightened with one hand..that's why it has a wrench angle

When I watch similar videos..and notice that everyone tightens the bit wrongly. Why do you think that wrench has angles?

Great video! You are about to learn the difference between an engineer and a machinist- theory is great (engineering) getting it to function is machining- I give it a month before it collapses under poor design

I am exactly the same. I have ideas that I would love to bring to life, but not an ounce of design knowledge. I would love to utilize AI to design something, but combining that with paying to make it functional is out of my price range for every idea i have. This biggest question I have is if I want to learn design for woodworking, where is the best place to start? Fine arts classes, woodshop classes, engineering, is it a combination, What is the path for self learning?

It turned out great! Kawser clearly understands the engineering side as well as design. Now it just needs some seat belts and LEDs he can switch on and off 😆 Key takeaway is don’t let your skill gap limit your potential, there are resources out there to help you…from bookkeeping to design!

What were the quotes for the files from the two designers ? This video was great to see. I did not know this service was available. Waiting for delivery on my cnc. Researching a lot. Thanks Andy

Interesting video. I have been trying to learn to speak AI but I have a hard enough time with English lol. That service/sponsor is a workable business idea. Thanks.

I had the same problem with the bed mount. They don't go one rail over, they need to be reversed. Notice that the holes are closer to one side. The SHORT SIDE goes to the outside of the bed.

Selling products is very difficult. I still can't sell much at all that is not what others make and therefore no profit! Why bother?

Ok I do like your videos and this video. Buuuuut I will say some of this stuff can get a little misleading. So I will leave the material cost math alone, but sizes matter for what you get out a sheet. The painting is where it gets tricky, to do that bomb pop, you need to have the stencil for the paint or to do it in a clever manner. So time is always a component of this stuff, and where china always wins. I am not saying the products are bad ideas, not really at all. Just when we are talking about selling things, we all have a different number for how much labor is per hour, so the time itself matters

For the "home" hearts... paint the board white.. then pocket out the insides leaving the letters, and edge to stand proud. Then paint outside of the hearts. I think the idea isn't to outsell HL with their own products, it's to take the inspiration and make one that looks better. When they have a "Welcome" door hanger (door round) that is painted or uses vinyl lettering, it would look like a better sign if you created it as a multiple layer sign. Cut the backer round, then cut out and glue lettering, and/or design elements. These are great ideas Andy. Any time my wife needs to go to HL to get fabric or fake plants.. I am walking around with my phone taking pics.

Great Video! I highly recommend the Monport laser as an alternative, known for its precision and reliability. With Monport, you can easily engrave intricate designs onto wood, adding value and customization to your creations. Whether you're crafting custom furniture, signage, or decorative items, the Monport laser engraver will take your woodworking side hustle to the next level.

Can’t disagree less. I purchased a sub for scetchup just to learn the way it works. And still can’t quite figure it out yet. Learned a lot over past six months. And I am someone learned in computer science and engineering. It’s even scary for me. But just get a simple whatever cheap thing and try. You will figure it out. It’s not that it’s hard. It’s just we fear failure the first 10000 times trying to make a light bulb.

I like your ideas but to try and out do prices at Hobby Lobby can't be done. Especially since all their prices are anywhere from 20% to 40% discounted the marked price. I have looked at each and every one of these and thought the same but material is cheap but time is more valuable. The only one I thought to be a possibility was the Blessed Heart and only customizing with a bible verse, not the generic "Blessed". This might work only if size is increased enough to allow more text.

I think you are going about this the wrong way. Choosing cheap items that are still time consuming to make is not how to make money. HobbyLobby can sell them for cheaper than I would want to make them for. You have to find the expensive stuff and figure out how to make it cheaper. I do not want to compete with china for 20$ profit. If that much.

These are great ideas! For the cloud shelf, you mentioned using a compression it at full depth in 3/4” ply. I believe we have similar setups (Avid pro, 4hp spindle). Is that a 1/4’ bit? What feeds and speeds? Thanks.
