Yes, chords on the screen are invaluable. Helps to anticipate and memorize. Additionally the practice repetition at slower speeds is helpful to buildup chord change timing then pull together at proper tempo.

Yes please. Chords on screen help all around. Visual changes and strumming improv are so much easier to follow. Love this method and it feels wonderful to be able to learn a complete song. Thank you !

Great tutorial, just adding that the "on screen visual" at 15:05 is probably a bit confusing as you've got the notes to be played at the second fret shown on top of where the nut would be on the guitar.

Loving the on screen chords!😊
@ntq1ty Жыл бұрын
The on-screen chords are superb, and this is a great pace for a few week's old guitar newbie like myself, while providing plenty to grow into. The one thing I was briefly confused by is the on-screen intro picking animation is reversed relative to the on-screen actual guitar neck showing the picking. I then realised the heavier weight line indicates the nut end, and worked it out. I'm not sure that there is a better solution to this that is satisfactory, as showing the finger positions from the perspective of the typical guitar player is probably more useful and standard. There may be a different framing that would help? Anyway, it's a great format and satisfying lesson for a newbie and left me with plenty to practice!

Sang this song a thousand times busking round Europe. Consequently played around with it a lot. It works in so many ways but transposing it to F G C gives it a softer feel that goes well with the lyrics. How about Idiot Wind..

Love your videos Andy and I'm a big fan.....however I'm 64 learned some quite chords from a friend many many years ago. Life took me down a different path. The way I was taught to play chords is different and sadly unbreakable. Such as g chord played with middle,ring and pinkie and a two finger "a" chords. Still struggling with bar chords. I can change between chords easily which keeps me motivated with your vidieos. I have a practice method I use for warm up that sounds pretty cool which involves fairly easy picking and strumming while changing chords and even sounds good when miss picking and with practice. Options are limitless when doing this. Is there a way of sending you a video of our ideas? Keep up the great work always a fan!
