I feel like half the problem with Giddey is the lost confidence, like compare giddey to last year and he was more aggressive and happy to have the ball in his hands, but after his controversy its like he doesn't want people to notice him anymore and he's just eager to pass the ball away even if he's got a chance to score on his own

The difference between Luka and Shai is that Luka is a passing savant. Shai is great is creating his own shots. But Luka can see cracks in opposing team's defense. He will sneak a bounce pass that can lead to a shot or swing pass to open man. Luka can throw lob pass from anywhere and any angles.
@mikieedwards7380

Facts but they’re super different players. Shai is the best iso scorer in the league rn while Luka is the best offensive threat. Luka is slow and methodical while shai uses his size and length to manipulate his body around people. He also has the best body control in the league. Luka has these eyes only few great passers have and has the ability to make phenomenal players. Super different players and I know that’s your point Shai is a bigger kyrie

Their whole offense is predicated on going 5-out. That's why their drive and kick game works so well. I wouldn't want to sacrifice that. Why not get a 4 who can help you with size and rebounding and keep Chet at the 5? Also, if you move Chet away from the 5, you're taking away his rim protection.

Gafford is also a big man and is known for his defense so it shouldn't be that surprising that Chet couldn't score inside. What is surprising is that OKC didn't use Chet's shooting skills to pull Gafford and Lively out of the paint so it would be easier for SGA, JWill and Giddey to score inside.

The pressure got to the team. Only SGA was cooking but his lack of experience meant he wasn’t able to move his team to help him out. Going all hero ball might win a game but it won’t win a series. Luka and especially Kyrie got the inexperience players to feed off them and was able to guide them to contribute. I’m starting to see Kyrie’s tactic of feeding the ball to the role players early in the game to give them easy shots and build their confidence. He takes over when more pressure is on during the 2nd half. I mean on fast breaks instead of scoring himself he will give the easy shot to a teammate so he can to get them going.

Dallas is just a well oiled machine, usually pretty easy to tell by this point in the season who the champion will be and it's almost definitely gonna be Dallas provided nobody gets injured

The OKC thunder are still an amazing team until 2030 because of the CP3 and PG trades they will have many first round picks that are guaranteed to be in the draft between top 3 or top 10 like it happened with their 12th pick this year. The main problem why the Thunder lost to the mavs in series it's because the mavs exploited their weaknesses. Like with Chet holmgren with his thin frame they used Gafford more effienciently or Luka, Josh giddey who had a down year from averaging 16 ppg to 12 ppg due to the controversy he had earlier in the season. Him seeing choking in the playoffs despite that he is gonna be 22 years old in October right before the upcoming season begins he still has so much time to grow in his game. The Mavs knew that Giddey is a very bad 3 point shooter and they forced him the ball out of the hands in case that if he is wide open for 3 point shot so that increase their offense even more.

They are way ahead of thier natural progress,being first so early can be a heavy load, if this load came if they were 5th seed they would look at it diffrently, but all this might not be important Thunder has golden goose in draft picks and even if they fall to lower seed they can be better

Lively devoured Chet on the boards in game 6. The Thunder’s inexperience got the best of them, and that includes Daigenault’s questionable challenge in the last moments of the game.

1. 6 games is not dismantled 2. This OKC core (SGA, Chet, Jalen Williams) is just scratching the surface of their potential 3. They just need to get stronger and trade Giddey
@jixxey
@jixxey Ай бұрын
It's mentioned in the video - the dismantling in this case doesn't have anything to do with the final series score, but rather how well Mavs were able to exploit Thunder's weaknesses (despite OKC being the heavy favorite and no. 1 seed).

Okc is a good young team and i think they can win it all atleast once within the 3 upcoming years. SGA was the only one who didnt choke, others specially williams was not himself and i dont blame him, they need experience, they should have jeff green rather than hayward.

I wouldn’t even say this video is necessary when they could’ve easily been the 3 seed and not be seen this way. They’re ahead of schedule and did great with a young squad. I’m not a OKC fan but i don’t like the Mavs

The thunder had a good season and Shai really did his job well with leading the team and he should’ve won MVP or Luka at least bc he had a great season too Honestly the Thunder should run it back with some retooling with the roster

Man okc is in a good place this not the first time they had young core and got defeated but they better not do what they did when they had Kd,Westbrook,Ibaka, Reggie Jackson,james Harden a young core team that went to the finals and they blew the team up okc you know you need more length don't destroy what yall have built back up.

The same thing happened when kd, Russell and harden were in thunders uniform. The team was too young. They had shooters but their defense were inconsistent. Plus, OKC couldn’t handle Luka slow motion ankle breakers.

Dismantling is a little bit unfair Andy, but I wouldn’t say like they absolutely choked. SGA did a really bad play, but I’m not gonna blame him for that because this is his first playoffs where he’s like the main guy on a team like this. the Oklahoma City thunder will be back next season tougher and they will be back for revenge. You can’t just dismiss for what this team managed to do this season.

OKC was projected to be a 6 seed and they were a 1 seed in one of the most competitive west conferences. They’re waaaay ahead of schedule. I really believe their youth and inexperience killed them the most with how poor their shooting became even on open shots. Idc the hate they get about losing as the 1 seed, nuggets lost too. It’s basketball against really good teams. We will be back!

Rebounds! I dont evwn have to think too much about it. In the closeout game they loat by 1 point and were out rebounded by 16. They have no rebounding preclsence at all. Holmgren just gets pushed around too easily to for a 7 footer. And surprise, they games they won were the ones where he actually contrubuted on the boards.

They need to trade Giddey because he is misfit. Also, didn't help that he played 3 different position in his seasons respectively. However as team develops he fell out of context. Also need physical PF, because Jalen Williams is pure stretch 4. JV is not the option because he's too slow. Chet must improve physicality to decent level

Got Haywood, who has been mostly a bust, didn't get a bruising 4, which we can now see is their biggest minus. Can they get to the Finals next year with same same? I would say no. They need a big power forward who gets a lot of rebounds, clogs the paint, doesn't necessarily have to score more than 8 points a game. Chet getting 3 rebounds and 1 assist in their final game is not gonna cut it.
