I love your advice but am not currently interested in moving to a new company. Several reasons, not the least of which is my company is in the middle of a merger which may (or may not) provide opportunities which should be easier to pivot to within the company. I get longtime friends and acquaintances who ask for my career advice. One who takes my advice quite seriously just called yesterday. I provided some general advice yesterday and have provided him with a link to this video today. I do think my advice also helped. We will see how things go! Thank you for the work you do here.

Would you apply for hybrid job that says max 2-3 days/week WFH, then after receiving the offer negotiate more days WFH or almost remotely?

If the recruiter or job ad says salary range from 40k to 50k. Shall i interview anyways if i am aiming for around 20% over that or it will never work? What would u say how much % more than the range i can still aim for?

Andy, I’m frustrated because I have the EXACT experience for a role which I’m applying, hands on, in the trenches, blood, sweat and tears that NO COLLEGE DEGREE could prepare you for any better. I unfortunately do not have my bachelors degree. The recruiter who has had 11 jobs over the past 10 years, and has only been with this company for six months will not even send my resume onto the hiring manager. Oh and did I mention she’s likely 30 years old??? Andy, I likely have the email address of the hiring manager but it would likely piss the recruiter off for me going around her, what should I do?
