Hey man, I'm getting out of the Marine Corps as an Osprey mechanic and I was looking for a school just like this. its Awesome to see a Mech doing what I want to do but just steps ahead with immaculate detail. I am lucky to find your channel

Thanks man! The Osprey is my favorite airframe. If they were frequent on the civilian side, I'd be doing whatever I can to get on them. I'll be posting more videos after I graduate (there is no time to edit while in school 😅).

Funny the location for me would be the warmer the better. I have got to say that I watched your great, informative show and heard how you really did a great job laying out pretty much every thing that involves your carrier and the school. I just found out through your video that some people will be able to teach, get flight time, and pay back your loans. NOW YOUNG MAN what if the student got his solo 43 years ago, now is 65, in great shape, and is very keen on immersing himself in a school like setting with out the family circus to distract him which is constant unless sleeping. So I really appreciate the out line for the school. I( definitely picked up on the Blue line pilots sharing maybe more comradery for me is very important kind of person I want to be around for fun and inspiration.
@AndyPateVlogs Жыл бұрын
Blue Line has had students enroll in their 50’s 😁 As you get older the career choices start to shift as the airlines has a max age limit of 65, but there are other career opportunities!
@kevinmccarthy8746 Жыл бұрын
@@AndyPateVlogs YES, YES, of course. People need to work. Not really a big deal unless I want a yacht. I have my SSI of 1200$ plus my 200.000$. I spend about$500 dollar on living expensives in Mexico. The air lines were out from the beginning at 65. But if I take an introduction flight it will be full speed ahead for me. That is the bodybuilder in me, And kind of like you from what I see and hear on your video`s. Does the extra twin training have a big effect on getting a job? if so then about 160.000$ should cover it?? I do need to know if I could teach or fly for private people. Unless the airlines and teaching jobs need to have the insurance company cover a older guy of 65. AND STATISTICS SAY THIS OF A 65 YEAR OLD man. If so then I will buy a yacht, a small one. Thank you, Andy.

@rg759 Жыл бұрын
@KonnorFeil Well, I completed ifr thru mei in 4.5 months, worked there for a little over two years as a cfi teaching every course at one point or another. Also got to represent the school by flying the twin to Oshkosh and Sun n Fun in the same year which was awesome. Started with PSA last year flying CRJs and am currently in training with Avelo Airlines learning to fly 737s. So overall I'd say pretty successful. If you're willing to put the effort in they will help you get it done.

How did you end up likeing Blue Line? I was concidering ATP but then ran onto a video you had made that compared the 2. BL is quite a bit more and I would be starting w credit for Private. Im on west coast so I would have to move out that way for a bit.
@AndyPateVlogs2 жыл бұрын
I’m really happy I chose to go there! Especially now with their new location, it’s definitely an amazing experience. The only thing is you bring up two things: Price and location. For price, you’ll have to crunch your own numbers to see if it works for you. It doesn’t always work for everybody. Make sure to consider that if you’re entering ATP w/ private, you need a minimum of 78 hours to join their program, so make sure to consider those costs as well. As for location, it’s also up to you. If you crunch the numbers and it’ll save you a ton to not move, then definitely stick with choosing local. I’m glad I moved, and you’ll have to get used to it anyways as an airline pilot (or even as a flight instructor if you choose to go to other flight schools because you’ll have to go where there are open jobs).

did u have to pay your own way from florida to blue line for the discovery flight? also can someone do all the labs/ratings and leave without doing the instructor ratings?
@AndyPateVlogs Жыл бұрын
I had to pay for both the assessment flight (they don’t call them discovery flights anymore, as it’s a part of the enrollment process), and any expenses to get to Florida. Flight schools don’t pay for travel for you to go to them. The only option at Blue Line is the full Career Pilot Program, so you’d have to do the instructor ratings as well.

As international student- Will BL handle the student’s visa? Is there any scholarship being offered? Also, checking if we can avail of the study loan? Since we’ll be the ones supporting him from here? These are some of my questions. Submiitted the apli form and hopefully they’ll give us more details. *if we can make it, hope you can do a story about an Int’l student experimce😁🫰💗

How much they cost for CPL(commercial pilot license)?

how to do CPL and get a bachelor's degree as i am about to graduate my high school
@AndyPateVlogs3 жыл бұрын
I always recommend going straight into flight school, You can get all of your ratings and certificates, become an instructor, and while instructing you can work on your degree while building hours. You can still even be working on your degree while at the regionals building seniority being they don’t require a degree.
