Thank you for not editing out the mistake. I need the reminder that we all make mistakes.

I really like these videos-you just showing what you are making. And the “sound effects” when you make a mistake are perfect! After all, we’ve all done that! It’s a joy to watch you work!

Huge fan of the retro Spurs flag. I like the cc over the videos instead of talking or music, I enjoy the simple sounds of a workshop. Keep it up.

Andy, Robert Terkla- ''LunkersTV & The Real Americans" youtube channels, is looking for a woodworker to build him a custom table for his new house for an alcove. He wants to place fish mounts on it. Many people responded to his request with your name. Your buddy Matt Carriker should have contact information. Just an FYI.

When I saw the line about, "keep an eye on the saw and notice how I have it tilted," I was expecting some weird pro-tip about how tilted saws make the job easier or something. Makes me feel a little better about the chair supports I built last weekend that aren't level with each other. Still haven't figured out how to fix them.

Great project, nicely done! Always a pleasure to watch your videos 👍. If I can recall it, Paul Sellers has demonstrated the trick with the masking tape as well.

Great video. I noticed you were using a regular utility knife to make the marks for the dovetail. Maybe you could make one of your next projects you making a marking knife.

How do you decide when to use hand tools and when to use power tools? You bought and rebuilt a big bandsaw and a mortiser but you seem to use them rarely. You have a nice machine for making boards S4S but it seems that you rarely use it. You have a really nice wide belt sander. You have a number of really nice power tools. It is great that you have not abandoned the hand tools but how do you decide when to use which. A little guidance would be appreciated. Thank you!

That's a good question, I dedicate a couple days a week to create KZbin videos the rest of the week I'm building furniture for clients. Usually with KZbin I select smaller projects and feature more handtool work because I think it makes better content. I rarely film the milling and prep work because I don't want the videos to be too long and that's the least interesting part in my opinion. I use all the big machinery daily to make furniture for my business and prep material for videos. Hope that answers your question...
@wcarlhepker4806
@wcarlhepker4806 5 жыл бұрын
@@AndyRawls -- Well, I hope you video some of your furniture projects as well. One example: I really enjoyed the large conference table you did and had to redo because of dropping it. I am sure we all watched with great interest when you bought and rebuilt the large bandsaw. The same for the mortiser. If it takes several shows to show how a china cabinet, or a hutch, or a vanity for a bathroom, or . . . is built, we will watch with great interest. This is my opinion and it may be different from the masses. That is what I would like to see! I know you have to please more than just me.

@afisher555
@afisher555 5 жыл бұрын
that is OK. Clamp some wood down, drill with portable drill. Then use this as a template. Either make small, 1mm holes for forstener centres, then drill carefully with forstner. The starter holes will be nice and accurate, or, make one large egg sized template and proceeed as above, or even router using using large egg sized template. In all cases do clamp everything down. Hope that helps.
