Thanks, but I don't know about beyond belief! It just takes time and patience.

Fabulous work 👏👍 Your metal shaping skills are very impressive, and love how you build the tools to get the right shape.

Thanks! This part took quite a lot of work and needed a lot of special tooling. I probably spent as much time making the tools and jigs as making the actual jaw.

there were a couple of moments in this vid when I had begun to worry you had lost your marbles, but the end result turned out beautifully.

I’m having trouble figuring out what metal is being used. The side jaws look like steel plates but most of the welds look aluminium.
@AndysMachines Жыл бұрын
It's almost all aluminium, some of the smaller parts are stainless steel.

Very nice, you did a great job getting the organic shape of it', I love all the jigs you came up with are you going for metal or "real" teath ? ... A little of topic' what is the flashing box cursor text font you're using ? and how did you animate the text ?
@AndysMachines5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, that's what I was going for, to make it look organic and much more solid than it actually is (it only weighs 265g). I actually prefer the look of metal teeth, so I might go with that, but a different type of metal to contrast with the aluminium. I might also make them quite worn and dirty looking. I'll PM you the details of the font etc...

Hi, can You Please let me know what Shape did You imagine or design the Entire Jaw to be (or the Periphery of the Entire Denture, or the Periphery of Upper Teeth and Lower Teeth together) out of these? - A Shaped Sides (Chin Broader than Upper Teeth/Upper Lip) - Diamond Shaped Sides (Meeting Point of Last Upper Teeth and Last Lower Teeth Outwards) - Vertical Sides or Cylinder Shaped Sides (Meeting Point of Last Upper Teeth and Last Lower Teeth Completely Vertical) - X Shaped Sides (Meeting Point of Last Upper Teeth and Last Lower Teeth Inwards) - V Shaped Sides (Upper Teeth/Upper Lip Broader than the Chin) Kindly do let me know. Thanks & Regards anant

I didn't really think about it in that much detail, I just did it by eye from photos and didn't get it quite right, the upright part at the back is a little too long.

You should seriously consider just buying a t800 head bust cheap resin made in china there about 100 to 150... and then using that to make a cast to then pour molten aluminium or steel into it... will be a lot quicker and cheaper than all that effort and time...unless you really enjoy that... then keep at it great work :)
@AndysMachines5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I thought about buying one just to take measurements directly from it. I hear the Thai ones are cheap and quite accurate (made of vinyl and quite flexible, but wouldn't matter). Though I've got quite far just making it by hand and referring to photos so I think I'll continue like that. I did cast an aluminium T800 skull before from wooden patterns I made, but it came out quite heavy as it's hard to cast complex parts with very thin walls. I want it to be light as it has to be able to move under it's own power and if too heavy the motors will be huge and won't fit inside.
