What a thing of beauty!! A bunch of notes strung together into perfect melody. Poetry without words. Who would want to imagine a world without majestic mountains and cascading waterfalls. A world without all the wondrous animals who have every right to share life amongst us. A world without music like this? Let's never forget how blessed we are, to experience these things of beauty!!

This song has changed my perception of life and my entire approach to expressing myself on the guitar. His playing is such an inspiration and challenges everyone to aspire for greatness. I many times ponder on what level of pain and sacrifice he has paid in life to move in that kind of annointing on the guitar. His playing magnifies the creative power of God that is released from his spirit through his music!

William Smith they are pretty equal actually if you listen to both of a lot of their music. Plus Andy uses a modern Ibanez with bloody DiMarzios in it and a modern amp
@joshmuz9018
@joshmuz9018 5 жыл бұрын
William Smith hence the reason for your poorly constructed and overly opinionated argument. A man scientifically loses the capacity of two thirds of his brain when he is angry and you sir have adequately displayed that. Andy Timmons is one of the most highly respected and gifted guitarists of the past twenty years. Steve vai, satriani, govan and many others have cited his abilities and influence on their playing, if you haven’t heard much of Andy music and just formed an opinion that’s your own shortcoming in mankind sound judgments. Andy is as good as Eric in every way and few would deny that, his tone is not as on par- as you were describing this to be a tonal issue, and I quote” Eric Johnson is the TONE monster”. Is Eric is using a 1957 start into a vintage twin and plexus with vintage fuzz, tube driver and memory man delay. Andy is using a modern guitar, modern lone star amp, modern tubescreamer and pedals and his tone is absolutely superb when he has a disadvantage in the gear he is using to Eric’s. But shit I’m not standing around all day defending who is better, each to his own man. Perhaps scroll the comments section and see that nearly all who watched this video like yourself are commenting on Andy’s amazing playing and TONE, I guess they are all wrong and you are right. Could you please direct me to some of your brilliant recordings to listen to maestro?

I had that experience, too. Another time, I had a V.I.P. pass to see Andy, Jennifer Batten and Uli jon Roth. After meeting Andy at the venue, I went to the restaurant next door a while later and Andy was eating dinner with members of Uli’s band. He noticed me and called me over to join them, which I did. He really is as warm and humble as everyone says. Although he’s one of my favorite musicians, I felt completely at ease, as if I’d known him all my life. He’s just so unassuming and cool. I believe he made my spirit leave my body on three separate occasions during his performance that night. Uli, who’s my all-time favorite, didn’t even do that. What a master musician and what a great person Andy is. I told him I was excited to cross seeing him play off my bucket list and he was genuinely flattered. I’ve seen him a couple times since, but I still can’t wait to see him play again! It’s on my bucket list, in fact! Thank you, Andy, for one of the best days of my life. If only you knew what it means to me…

I have to be honest i find andy to have much better melodic composition that Vai. Vai is great don't get me wrong, and I listen to him as well, but I subjectively would place andy above him

It feels like you just keep falling into deeper and deeper layers as the song goes on until it just explodes, then resolves. Simply fantastic song writing. I like how the first two harmonics higher on the neck near the end of the song create a secondary sound, almost like another note, when you switch pickups from the neck to the bridge to hit the lower harmonics. Pretty cool.

Still in my Top 3 of all time solos . Andy is amazing, and this one song , has 7 or more distinct sound techniques. I am a novice, but I know talent when I see it. He has great feel for tone, it's not just fingering, Andy is special! Kudos Andy ...come to NC !!
