Ane, had to share my fb post to my friends with you after listening to this a few times. It really stirred me up, emotionally: “She(Ane) described it so well. CONFESSION: I’ve spent the past year feeling so many emotions that it’s overwhelmed me(after a divorce, cleaning myself up from drugs, and leaving a town that was full of painful memories). So much, that I’ve been convinced that someone I love, from my past, had orchestrated a “rescue” for me through her music(Kinda like the movie, “The Game” with Michael Douglas, since I was also convinced she was setting things up/planting messages for me to see through my fb, KZbin, and Pinterest). Hearing how miserable I was in my fb posts, she set out to make me feel again and therefore remove myself from a “self inprisoning” life that I had become trapped in, convinced that I deserved it some how, therefore feeling my only escape was death and therefore sinking deeper and deeper into depression. I’m more convinced I hear her talking to me, in her words(and everywhere else), than I am of anything else, but I’m also open to the idea that I’m stubborn and choosing to hear what I want to. That’s one of the reasons I haven’t been able to decide on a direction or make any commitments(as I was homeless for jobless and homeless for 9 months, until recently). I’ve been waiting for her to show herself, because I would be committed to her and do anything that revolved around that. But she hasn’t shown up and it breaks my heart, every day, even though I try to convince myself I’ve just been being delusional and made it all up in my head as a way to cope with my situation. I really wanted it to be her. So badly, I almost wish i had not been awoken from my “emotional coma”. Just left to waste away and die. But, I know I should just be grateful for a second chance at life. But she lit a fire in me that has never gone away. I’m ok with being crazy, because if it’s for her I’m ok with that. I believe in and cherish love that much, simply because I’ve been shut off from it, for so long. It’s a truly amazing thing. Everyone should persue love and remove themselves from situations/people where it is not so that they can. Life’s too short not to love and be truly loved in return(for I believe that love is a feeling, not a choice. Acting on it, or not, is a choice.)Perhaps I’ll meet someone else that handles a fiery love, as well, and the torch can be passed.” But, damn I still wish it was her, but she hasn’t answered my letters so I’m trying to move on. Not directly, anyways, although I hear my recent words to her in her recent songs, like she is replying. Making it seem even more romantic. I tell myself she is helping me get better so that I’m my old self again before she shows up, keeping an eye on my online posts, therefore measuring my degree of recovery. Giving me time to put myself back together, reconnecting with my feelings and opening up emotionally and helping me along the way with her words/songs. Letting me me miss her, again, as I had buried her so deep inside me while I lived a life I was miserable in, trying to pretend I was happy. My mind tells me I’m crazy, but my heart tells me it’s real. It’s such a battle. But then it’s such a comforting feeling thinking that someone i love is looking after me and missing me too when everything else makes me feel alone.

Sometimes our minds cope with change and grief, rebirth in ways we don't fully understand, but I see it as protective. Kinda like how I have imposed artists into my internal world as family, I know they aren't actually my family, but they operate inside of me as if they are. Whatever works..whatever keeps you striving to be your best self and be healthy.

@@89ksokd91 thanks! The mind is amazing. Almost a year since all that started and it seems my head gets clearer and clearer and I get calmer and calmer. You made me realize I did the same thing with musicians and actors, since a kid. I’ve clung to them as role models from a lack of good ones in my life. Like our minds will find direction/reflection, one way or another. I’m really thankful for those people or I would have been alone.
