Hi Guys thank you all for support! Check my other videos and reviews on my channel: Here is some Tips for perfect prints: Build it perfectly. Make sure all screws are tight and belts are not loose. Check distance on side(Z axis rods holder) Use lithium grace to lubricate bearings to make them run smooth or make IGUS PLA bearings and use thin oil. Level your bed on minimal 5 places(4 corners and center ) using A4 paper. Nozzle should NOT touching heat-bed surface. Move X carrige and look for distance over whole hotbed area to make sure that nozzle is again NOT touching heat-bed. For better print sticking use Brim option in CURA or hear spray or order BuildTack. Try to find best settings in CURA. Use slow first layer 10-20mm/s Average settings are PLA 200C on nozzle Hot-Bed 55C. On ABS 230-240C on Nozzle , Heatbed 75-85c (Use brim option) Layer resolution is 0.2mm medium quality or 0.1mm to High quality Print speed are 34-55mm/s Travel speed are 45-85mm/s

You said "I think I'm done with my upgrades if I don't find something interesting". My suggestion would be for you to figure out a way to multi filament print using dual extrusion on your anet a8 and I'm sure you will attract a ton of attention. Myself and a few others in my town built anet a8's and we have heard of people who have upgraded cheap Chinese 3D printers to print with multiple filament at the same time. it would be awesome if you did this!

Hi there, thanks for the video I really like the upgrades you made for it. I am waiting for a tutorial on the E3d V6 upgrade.

There is still one more upgrade you need to do. Add a Raspberry Pi wireless connection with Camera then you can check on the printer even if you are not at home. I have done this and its great. Paul, Happy in sunny Thailand. I like the modes you have done and rejected so far, thanks.

Next - Thank soooo much for these videos. I have just received my A8 today and I'm about to start making improvements. I have ordered the parts of the V6 extruder as It seems the quicker I can get it working the better. Could you help? What are the minimum parts needed for V6 Bowden change? Could you please post some photos of your extruder mount? I am really excited to get to all working. Thanks in advance.

@quinnyrethus7 жыл бұрын
Another great vid. Thanks for showing how well flex filament does work with bowden extruders. I am also modifying my A8 to Tech2c's E3D V6 solution after seeing yours working so well. I will try 5mm cork board for insulation under the bed. I was going to direct solder the bed heating connections but I see your stock white connector still seems to be holding up fine and not burning. Are you going to add an inductive sensor?
@NexiTech7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for positive thoughts mate! Glad you like it. Yap! Tech2c is king! I respect his work a lot. He save me so much time by make 3D model of V6 setup! I have all parts for his type of Bowden setup but so far This setup work very nice like so. Yap 5mm cork board will do the work as well. Better something that nothing. Nope no need to solder connections. That PLA chain holder on heat-bed don't even get warm at all. Well, not in near future. I take sensor off. If you go back to my first video about upgrades you can see that I had sensor installed. That is not ''true'' auto level sensor and heat from bed can affect sensitivity of sensor. I just wasn't satisfied with results so I take it off. I still have it in workshop btw.

I have my Tech2C Bowden mount set up now but from what I can see I have lost about 20 - 25mm in the y axis because the nozzle sits out further then the original and the bed can't move any further forward to compensate. Did you find this as well? Other then that I'm very happy with it and coupled with the inductive sensor I am getting awesome prints with excellent first layers everytime.

How did you solve the issue of the carriage becoming tight at the far right and far left positions? I ended up filing a bit more out of bearings to accommodate but now carriage wobbles a bit. What did you do?
@professorbaxter51717 жыл бұрын
I believe he printed a new x-carriage and bought the e3d v6 to solve that issue.
@greghartstein25237 жыл бұрын
I did the same but the x-carriage listed on the v6 upgrade video still has the tension problem. I ended up printing a different ed3 v6 mount and using the factory bearings & enclosures. They seem to have enough play to allow for tension.

Cork is fine at the temperature the bed runs at, you don't need anything fancy a large cork tile from the hardware store will do
