The toxic and continuous negativity towards the club, from some its own fans, reminds me of an article I recently read, where a moaning passenger on a cruise ship was booted out. The reasons given by the cruise ship company were summed up in their letter: “We have received over a dozen formal complaints from residents regarding your continuous complaints and negativity. This behaviour has significantly impacted the morale and well-being of other passengers. Given the overwhelming feedback, we must cancel your contract permanently, so as to uphold the well-being and satisfaction of our community”

I agree with your every word Paul. There are so many experts around thinking they know better but at the end of the day most of them simply need to get a life. They fill themselves with so much anger that they do not see the wood for the trees. The young man sitting next to me in the Paxton for the NLD was a case in point. My wife and I were genuinely concerned for his health such was his body language and reactions during the match and we both felt that he wouldn't make old bones if this was how he lived his life. Passion I am all for but not at the expense of personal wellbeing. I've given up watching most Spurs fan channels on KZbin. Most are reactionary and some are too toxic to bother watching but hey, if that's what they think helps them build their channels good luck to them. At the end of the day it's all about money. Ange will simply rise above it all.

I doubt Spurs having seen how fragile our mentality can be over the years but I don't doubt Ange as the sort of pesonality who given time can change it. No foreign European manager with broken English and a lack of understanding of getting into the psyche of an underachieving English club like Spurs is going change it, I don't care what his cv says. I don't have a problem with Ange's attacking football and his point about outscoring the opposition (rather than the negative mantra of "keeping clean sheets"). Yet we've also conceded 13 goals from corners in the last 22 games this calendar year; these are not from open play, but from fixed, dead-ball situations, and, as Neville and GHOD have pointed out, Vicario has shown his weakness at not coming for crosses even when they're four yards from his goal line. So I expect Coventry to try and exploit this weakness: launch high balls into the box, nick a goal from a corner/cross or two, and park the bus for the rest. It's up to the mob upfield to get past that bus, and Shirley we can do that against a team 14th in the Championship. COYS. P.S. Rob Burch: Earn your wage and sort it out.

I'm finding it extremely hard to back Ange. This guy isn't changing anything. We are consistently inconsistent. Our form is awful, and I don't see any master plan from this guy coming up. It's just rinse and repeat! You said, "Have patience, things like this can take years," I agree to a point. But mangers that are given time, show the board/fans something to believe in, something tangible. I just see a manger who is way out of his depth and unwilling to change (can't change).
