So many fans are too tribal and forget it's a game, unpredictable and we should respect and enjoy the good play of all teams. Been a Spurs fab for best part of 79 years. Some people need to grow up and accept the inevitable highs and lows.

Sadly less than 24 hours after the win there are already people on KZbin bemoaning every little mistake from the game to minimize the victory. I just want to enjoy the fact that the game went well, the players looked happy and they seem to be learning each others game. Fingers crossed it continues to get better every week. Thanks for the update Ali, on to the first Europa league game!

I liked it when Vicario in the 2nd half... took responsability to boot it to root one, rather than play from the back, cutting out 7 Brentford player in one kick, each moment needs a different decision, well done goalie

Brennan Johnson needs lots of encouragement from fans,am sure he'll come good and prolific. He has the potential and his greatest asset is his speed, vey nimble footed and I wish he could use it more often.

Thanks Ali for yet another great video. I sit with 7 other supporters who all hold season tickets and over the years we have become friends. We all said yesterday once we knew Brennan was in the team, that he would hopefully score and give a good performance. He did that and we all couldn’t have been more delighted for him. We all know how Brennan has had to deal with vile comments on social media, but I hope at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium yesterday he took comfort from the support true Spurs fans showed him. There is only one Brennan Johnson!!!

As a player, it is dangerous to call out fans. If you do you have to do it subtlety. Which is exactly what Madders' interview was. The "fans" that call out scapegoat players, are Ange out and let their dislike for Levy ruin the entire experience of fandom. Madders calmly stood there with a wry smile and basically told them they don't know what they are talking about. Well done lad.

I liked the build-up from the middle. Maddison was on fire and he indicated he’d participate more buildup from the back when Deki is in the middle. It opened so many chances for Son and Johnson. Son had a perfect chance to score his signature curler but it will come. I enjoyed the game immensely.

Like most Spurs matches I watch, I’m not too high on the highs and I’m not too low on the lows. It was obvious that our performances were greatly improved despite our losses over the past couple of weeks. It was also obvious that we could have scored so many more goals in our wins over the past couple of weeks. What really gets me excited is consistency. Here’s to hoping that this past game is a new dawn 🥂

Thanks for usual high quality video Alasdair. I was there and fantastic performance. So proud of the Spurs fans for singing Johnson's name (loudly) and Dom was very impressive throughout, showing great touch and control as well as strength. Most interesting for me was evidence that Ange adapted the approach from his Plan A compared to last season. With Deke being our captain chaos close to edge of the penalty area and Madders sitting a bit deeper which created more fluidity. Also Sonny, Madders and Udogie were swapping places a lot.

Thanks for the early and enthusiastic video, Alasdair. Your joy at the win and the Spurs performance is contagious. Long may it last! With the games coming thick and fast with the start of the Europa League you are going to be a very busy man. It is amazing how the mood of the fanbase can change so dramatically after a good performance. Look, maybe a slim defeat to the Gooners was put into perspective by how close Man City came to defeat against them today. Anyway, plenty to look forward to after Saturday's performance.

The different media and fan agendas are very interesting. The commentary i was listening too criticised the same 11 being played as it apparently showed Ange didn't trust the subs or in this case he didn't trust the young players. Yet as soon as he makes changes they say its because he thinks the players didn't perform. Other teams rotate the squad and its clever management by pep or whoever but whenever its spurs it seems to be used as a stick to beat us from one side or the other.

Kudos to Johnson for getting two goals in two games after what must have been a very difficult week. Maddison had one of his best games and Bentancur, VDV, Kulu all played well. Yeah I was surprised when I saw that as well. I think the only reason the possession was so low was because we were playing much higher tempo, taking shots and putting the ball into areas more when we had the ball. Gave it back to Brentford and encouraged them to knock it around so we could press them. Near perfect Ange-ball... Just a couple moments where we seemed to gas out a bit and give them a chance, but we could have been 5-6 goals up👌

I have mentioned before that Ange coaches his teams in a very similar style to AFL coaches in Australia. AFL has no off side rule and you there are no clean sheets. You must outscore your opponent to win. Teams have to have great squad depth and they need to be relentless to be successful. To rebuild teams need youth to grow over a season or two into a potent team.

It's so nice to have a target man up top again. Not that we should play that way but when we need to clear the ball there is always at least a 50/50 if it sticks high up the field and lets us out of pressure. It was very nice to see the players sticking to attacking for most of the game aswell. There was a 10 minute period where we started to roll it sideways and it always hurts us because someone takes a bad touch or overhits a pass and they counter on us. It's better when we keep possesion but still trying to go for a shot or harder pass rather then keep it just to keep it.

Well, being told to do yoga by Ange wasn't on my Spurs bingo card. 😀I was very happy for Dom and Brennan, although scoring goals shouldn't be a prerequisite for not being racially abused. And it is not a question of toughening up either. And while on the topic of racism, I truly don't understand the potential penalty for Bentancur. A multiple match ban penalises the club, not the player. A hefty fine payapble by the player and relevant community service would be more appropriate, IMO. 🤷♂

As guy behind me at game yesterday said Toney prob the better finisher but for way we play and how solanke plays he suits as far more and he worked his socks off making runs that don’t always see in tv - saw Paul okeefe tweet that to met artera and edu and meeting was a car crash

Yang scored today - any chance we could bring him in early since we seem to be growing a mounting injury list already? Tongue and cheek obviously

One of the first. Sunday with Mr Gold who is cheerful as Spurs has a win. Spurs showed what they want to. Its why teams will set up to defend against Spurs. They know if they try and play they will be ripped apart. Think Vic will mature and get ride of the nervous moments. LLoris has nervous moments all through his Spurs career and he was a WC and EC winner. Vic is still a young GK. Spurs got the ball forward quick so less passes. If the players can keep doing this it will work even against low block teams. Quick passes little one twos will break most low block teams.

Ali off topic and I know Ange doesn’t want to provide more updates on Richy but is it possible to understand what the actual injury is?

Very good performance….. We need to be more consistent now. Make small changes to give players minutes/experience but not 8 changes!
