He may not be Ange, but Nick Montgomery has Ange's playbook so am following his journey with a lot of interest as well. He did a fantastic job with the Mariners in the A League, being the lowest salary cap based, the youngest squad, really making them a full on community club & smashing the A League final last season. Also provided most players for the national side. Ange has been a big supporter & already invited him to have a look at Spurs set up. Good luck for your season.

Immigrant mentality has forged Ange. I cry listening to this. Ange’s story is my story just like so many of the greeks, Italians, Croatians etc that came to Australia with nothing and built football clubs that produced so many professional footballers and internationals. The tactics,the football and the togetherness this man is creating brings out the best. The best teams fight as a unit,defend as a unit and attack as a unit.Theres no pride in losing whilst playing shite but there's also no pride in losing after giving 100%...only winning will bring real pride but you can't win if you don't give 100%.So always give 100% then 110%..then 120..and so forth. You can only win and keep winning if your hungry enough to keep improving. 🧠💭
@glennmaillard59722 жыл бұрын
Sorry, there is pride in giving 100% win or lose. If you give a 100% and lose the game, then the other team were just better. Showing respect for others is actually one of the foundations fur winning more often than you lose. Losing when you give 100% never leaves you wondering. You know you must use it as a spur to get better. No team is invincible. You can only control what you can control. Give 100% at training and in games, and always learn something, even if you win, and you’ll be a success one way or another. You’ll never be at peace or know genuine pride if winning is the measure of pride. I’ve admired anyone who thinks winning at all costs is somehow being successful. It’s a game. Success is far more than a game.

I don’t know where to start about this man but my god what a man and inspirational figure we now have leading Celtic football club. I’m sure I possibly speak for a large number of Celtic fans here including myself, when we first heard ange was going to be our new manager we automatically thought why have Celtic appointed someone relatively unknown, why someone who is managing at the other side of the world, if he was that good why hasn’t some other big club went in for him? I guess it might be natural in a way to ask these things out of concern but I would just like to personally and hopefully on the behalf of others say that I genuinely hold my hands up and wish to take back any doubts I ever had relating to this man. It just shows that you should never judge a person based on there working criteria, but more as their values as a person and how they act accordingly. Ange postecoglou has been an inspiration and role model through his words and humble interviews ever since he came to Celtic, this video genuinely filled me up as I’m sure it did to others, just to know and fully engage in what he was saying, a lot of people will see Celtic football club just as another football club from the outside but those who are truly integrated into the values of the club and have that connection will only ever realise that this club is a way of life and a part of you. Ange has given that connection back to us through his wise personality, wisdom, and philosophy to create an exciting brand of football. As a final note I would just like to say as a Celtic fan how honoured I am to have him leading our club, it’s been a privilege to have him here and I wish him and our football club all the happiness in the world. In Ange we trust 💚

@MaKy Fa Some clarity. It’s how you play the game that matters to Ange. The outcome is, you tend to be quite successful winning games when you play according to certain strategies and values, but the winning itself is actually a bonus. And we all work with a bonus in mind. We do, if we desire the bonus.
@andrewbrown1352 жыл бұрын
Its from an Australian documentary called "Football Belongs" made by Optus Sport who broadcast EPL games (& J League) in Australia. The documentary focuses on the immigrant & indigenous contribution to football in Oz via their local "ethnic" clubs established by migrants usually after WW2 - hence Ange's South Melbourne Hellas. That's why Graham Arnold, the current Socceroos manager is an "exception" in the film as he is multi-generation "Anglo" Australian but to play, had to play with Sydney Croatia (Sydney United). There is an ongoing debate about the removal of the "ethnic" names from these second and third tier teams, as their supporter bases are still reflective of their origins.
