I ADORE how much of a dork Angel is around Cordy. That she brought that out in him, brought him alive, even back in BTVS, was one of the reasons she was made for him. You did a fantastic job of highlighting that. I must say, however, that the "Angel are you trying to say that you love me?" dialogue although humorous, is also heartbreaking when you think about it. He gets so exhilarated by her confession of love for him that he's slapped pretty hard in the face by the clarification that she meant it in friendship. You can see the let down in his face and in his eyes. _" It just sucks Joss didn't give them the love story they deserved. The whole, sleeping with your son, getting pregnant and then dying thing was messed up. "_ I couldn't agree more. I'll never forgive Joss for destroying Cordelia's character, all over a conniption fit because Charisma had been pregnant. That was the whole reason for Jasmine. While I don't know of an official source that supplies this information, I was told that she was meant to be killed off anyway but in a more dignified way. She still would have been possessed but without the entity ever being identified or manifesting into it's own being and in the end, the only way to defeat it would have been for Angel to kill the woman he'd just come to come to terms with being deeply in love with. In a way, it's a hundred times more heartbreaking but more meaningful and respectful as well as presumably far better developed. The whole Jasmine-possessed Cordy and Connor thing was downright filthy and disgusting; I had to close my eyes every time they kissed it sickened me so and the whole beastmaster/Angelus thing sucked ass as well.

I love the beginning, with the voiceover, Angel freaking out lol, Angel is goofy around Cordy, he can be crazy and she won't judge him. She made him shine, she made him happy. Their friendship is the best. Love them together too. The last kiss always make me cry. It was the only real kiss for Cordy, but Angel loved kissing her when they went to the ballet together. She doesn't say anything bad about him. she has always believed in him, always by his side, him always saving her because that's who he is, a hero, a champion. I didn't like season 4 much, only when he held Cordy's hand and the last episode home when he saw Cordy's body lying down, surrounded by bombs, seeing his face, it was heartbreaking.
