Thank you for the video, it almost made me cry! 💙I bought Angel about 10 days ago (I've always used only the vintage version), and there's a new box with a huge silver star "tattoo" on the front. I sprayed it three times on my arm and after 10 minutes I could literally feel just the Angel dry down, extremely soft and pale. In a couple of hours, it was gone. So sad. Whenever I see a new packing, it makes me think it was reformulated again. This time, they finally killed our little star. 🌠

The reformulation is definitely that disappointing. Like you said it doesn’t last!! And it’s very tart bergamot heavy with a very flat linear sweetness! I will cherish my older bottles, I cannot get enough of that earthy chocolaty patch combined with those beautifully sweet caramel cotton candy notes

Great review and funny!! I have a couple bottles of Angel from around 2010-12 and they still smell so good. I don't even bother with new Mugler purchases anymore because as you might know their new owner is L'oreal (they're known to water down everything). I've smelled the new Angel and it's very sad. I gravitate towards older powerful originals like Angel, Poison esprit, and vintage Shalimar, so when I buy I try to find a deal on older bottles. I hated Angel when I first tried it in 2015, got a terrible BO from the patchouli; but lately my skin has changed, and Angel is now probably in my top 10 of all time!

i'm not sure if you have a fake with your newer version as i find the fakes do often tend to be in the bigger 100ml bottle format rather than the smaller flat star bottles but it does sound like you're describing the more recent angel reformulations. i find it hard to believe that the newer formulation is supposed to be more mass appealing and popular with modern audiences as i personally think it smells of very sharp screechy plasticy patchouli and not much else! the original however is warm and soft enveloping delicious cotton candy, caramel and chocolate balanced perfectly with a full earthy patchouli that creeps in and out beautifully. it surprised me to hear that the reason for the reformulation was due to complaints at how obnoxious original angel was as that's exactly how i'd describe it now!

.. Angel is really strong and it lasts and lasts .. I don't like the nutmeg scent in Angel (I am not a fan of strong spices in perfumes) .. and then the pineapple in Angel makes it, for me, too sweet .. my little sister bought me a 100ml bottle years ago .. no more than 2 little sprays below the waist WITH 4 sprays of other perfumes above .. lol

Hey there, Fondo Man! If you don’t like spices you won’t be a fan of the review I’m posting this coming weekend… ;) I doubt you got the original formula… but you say it’s strong? Umm… certainly the original version is one of the strongest and longest lasting perfumes I know of. Great if you live it. Not so much if you don’t!
