I'm camping her right now. Do note there are several campsites here. You can also grab the ferry from Tiburon which is $12 and it takes about 15 minutes to get across. It's great to hike here after everyone leaves. It's like your own private island and with all the old abandoned buildings it's really cool.

I had no idea there were so many buildings on the island and that it had so much history! I have friends that take their boat there pretty often, but they never told us there was so much to it! Very cool 👍

Very informative, thank you. Loving your channel! If you ever camp there, I highly recommend site #4. It's a bit exposed but has good privacy and a great view of the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges. The hike to the summit is also incredible.

There is also a Nike missile site on the north side of the Golden Gate bridge in the Marin Headlands. On weekends its staffed by volunteers and they actually raise the missile into firing position and lower it into the "garage" underground. It's pretty cool! Great video.

I stayed overnight there with a group. We kayaked to the island and also kayaked back. We stayed in this museum like house called "the bake house" and at night me and meh friend sang Hamilton songs for everyone. Best night ever. 💙

Great video, again. I lived up there for a short time, my favorite spot away from silicon valley was Santa Cruz. Maybe you can add that to your list, but like everything up in bay area(weather) it's best to wait till spring/summer. Keep on.

I believe you can pretty much bike the entire thing. There are stairs that provide a shortcut to the beach but I believe there is a bike path you can take that goes around them

First, the animals at Pier 39 are California Sea Lions; Pinnipeds in the family Otariidae - distinct from true seals(phocids) and the walrus (odobenids). You can also get to Angel Island from Tiburon. Adult round trip $15. angelislandferry.com
