Redwood National and State Parks is one of the most beautiful places in California. The park has tons of groves, hundreds of miles of hiking trails and lots of beautiful viewpoints. While we only got to spend a day and a half in the park it was an incredible place and one we can't wait to visit again. Let me know what your favorite spot in the park is in the comments.

When the Dyerville giant, a tree in the southern part of the park, blew down in a storm a few years ago, there was mud splattered up to sixty feet high on the sides of other redwoods hundreds of feet away. Must've been an amazing sight if anybody had actually been there to see it. I personally have been in the redwoods during an earthquake and was able to witness a huge redwood vibrate like a giant guitar string moving over a foot to each side near the ground! Love your channel, love your attitude, keep up the great work!

Ah Redwoods NP. I had an interesting experience there several years ago. I had to have a tow truck pull my truck, which got stuck halfway off the road on a steep hill back onto the road. (A car was coming the other way and wouldn't share the road so I kept having to get further and further over until I basically had to go off the road to not hit them, but also almost rolled down the mountain doing so. And got stuck.)

Living in Fortuna, I get to see this all the time. Lived here since '72 and I still haven't seen it all. Seen the Dyerville Giant and the Flatiron trees before they fell. I hope you stopped by Dyerville Grove and Rockefeller Forest on your way through. Avenue of the Giants is also a must drive. Since it parallels 101, there's no reason to miss that.

@ZowyTheRottweiler I do. My daughter and I take drives quite often, especially right after storms. When these blow down, it's like a bomb went off. Another poster mentioned the Dyerville Giant splattering mud 60 feet up on other trees. But he didn't mention that it fell against another that is about 100 feet away, and it stripped limbs and bark from about 150 feet up. At 367 feet tall it was once the third tallest known. Now, laying on the ground, it gives another perspective that is still awe-inspiring. A few years ago another tree fell across it and crushed the base while splintering into what looks like a pile of lumber. It is hard to describe the sheer size of that tangle of trees. We find new trails to explore all the time. I am lucky to live here.

My favorite part of trillium falls is seeing the endangered trillium growing everywhere. We had them growing in the forest behind our house when I grew up. The older they are the darker mauve they become. Don’t pick them because you kill the plant and they don’t easily reproduce. But they are one of my fav flowers in the world. And they grow in temperate rain forest climates only. Cool we have that here in CA. Thank for posting

The past couple years I’ve driven through the redwoods and took a few of the hikes that you did. I did all that you did except the tall trees hike. This past September I took three days to see parts of the redwoods I had never seen before and stayed only at local non chain motels and that was a highlight. We hiked around the avenue of the giants and even did a ranger walk which was phenomenal and free. And I finally saw fern canyon. Trillium falls loop is mind blowing. You have to come back and do the entire loop. It’s not hard but it’s so beautiful. Especially if you see it when I did in May when the trillium are in full bloom and the falls are at their peak. Thanks for posting. I love your posts about this beautiful state in which we live

Great video of the area I live in! I noticed the video is 3 years old so just a heads up that now you have to make appointments to visit both the Tall Trees Grove and Fern Canyon, whereas before you just had to stop and get a code for Tall Trees and just show up at Fern Canyon. Also, sometimes the water is too high for making the water crossing on the way to Fern Canyon, in which case you have to park and walk in from the water crossing.

I only have 1 video from the Redwoods and now you're giving me incentives to make a few more. 😎💚 I've been in love with the California Redwoods since my then-boyfriend/now-husband took me to see them in 1987. You're doing a great job showing some of the best parts. I haven't seen your list of videos, so forgive me for asking if you've been down to Rockefeller Grove (which is along the Avenue of the Giants)? If not, it's my second favorite Grove, second only to Holland Hill Rd and the multiple groves along it. Both are worth hiking through, and Holland Hill is extraordinary in a Wrangler with the top down. 😎🥰 Hope to see you out and about next time!
