Angel Reese DOMINATED against Caitlin Clark and the Fever | Jessica Benson Show

The title is "Angel Reese dominated against Catlin Clark and the Fever.' At the end of the 3rd quarter the Fever had almost a 15 pt, lead. She had 16 pts/Reese had 15. Sounds like Reese was asleep. Then for some reason Sides to bench for most of the 4th quarter. Up to that point Reese and CO. weren't an issue. So where does the domination appear. Oh, I know the 4th quarter. When Reese plays the total 4th quarter and scores her10 points achieving the 25pts with Clark out of the game. You think that if CC plays the whole 4 quarter she doesn't score at least 6 pts. That would have given her 22pts. The game was decided by a point. Plus, Sides leaves Smith in who was getting her butt kick, Wheeler who may as well not have gotten suited up and Mitchell who suddenly couldn't find the basket. With all that there were no adjustments. As a result, AB was on her own against Reese , Cardosa and Carter. CC, who wasn't on the floor and when she did get the call near the end of the game was told to pass the ball to Wheeler, Smith and Mitchell so those factors in part led to the loss. ....do not see how that headline is justified. But ok the media spin to boost Reese is now the norm. Perhaps a headline that reads, The Sky team led by an outstanding effort by Angel Reese, narrowly defeats the Fever and Catlin Clark.. That may be a more accurate headline concerning the game when you take into account all the factors related to the game.

EXCELLENT POINT! Clark is a frontrunner and will only shoot when the game's not on the line, so it appears that she led the team to victory. Clark had many opportunities to do SOMETHING, but because she cannot create her own shot, she had no other options but to pass. She doesn't move without the ball, so she needs 2-3 screens just to get open. Well, in a close game down the wire, Sides doesn't have time to waste using her REAL great players (Boston and Mitchell) just to try and get Clark open for what's going to be very low percentage shots since all she does is shoot 3s. Just like in the last 2 NCAA championship games, she froze because she's not a prime time player like Reese is, and she got exposed. Reese is a ROOKIE, and she literally put the team on HER back and carried them to a much needed victory. What other rookie has done that so far? Only Reese, so much love to Chi-Town Barbie for sticking it to all the naysayers especially Clark and all her delusional fans.

I'm lost here as to what game you all were watching... bcuz Caitlyn HAD the ball in the last play but SHE gave the ball up. SHE didn't take the shot (and was open and had enough spacing). So why is everyone blaming SIDES for Caitlyn's decision. If CAITLYN is the face of the WNBA, the HERO of future women's basketball... then she should have taken the winning shot. That's on her. Not Coach Sides. Y'all cut that foolishness out.. An OWN the truth...The Golden Goose failed to lay the winning egg, and it cost her team the victory. Plain and simple...Sides didn't do that. Exactly. Clark literally had the ball in her hands every time up the court. See, her fans don't understand basketball, and they just look at the box scores the day after. Reese is also Top 5 in rebounding AND steals in addition to leading the league in offensive rebounds. Clark is supposed to be some offensive juggernaut, yet she only outscores Reese by FOUR points...that's it. Clark averages 16, and Reese averages 12. That says something really bad about Clark or something really good about Reese, who is primarily a defensive player. Great win for the Sky and for Reese!!!!!

One last aspect of this whole conversation, it is pointless to discuss. Read the comments. There are people who saw with their own eyes the game and see what actually happened but are arguing about what each person said they saw. For example, CC could or could not see over Cardosa so she passed off. Another person said she choked and did have a clear shot. The examples selective interpretation of what was seen are endless. It boils down to this . A confrontation was created concerning CC to boost readership and eyes on the channel. Battles lines were drawn. You either dislike CC or you are a supporter. The media sits back, relaxes, laughs about the futility of most arguments that cannot be proven. and takes the money. Hardly anybody just wants to enjoy the game and be happy for all those women athletes playing the game

That being said the Fever coaching is dreadful. 40 minutes and 11 shots from the most prolific shooter ever in the womens game.
