The Datura innoxia, aka Angel's Trumpet! It is a perennial wildflower found in the SW United States. As a note, it is related to the Nightshade family. This makes it different from your common Moonflower as they belong within the morning glory family (Convolvulaceae). It is a plant that you want to avoid directly consuming. It has toxins such as scopolamine and atropine, which can cause dry mouth or difficulty breathing. Given that it is common, it is a host plant for a number of pollinators 🤙🏼
