I think everyone sleeps on Gabriel because he’s a goofy, and never takes anything seriously, but when he truly gets upset or starts taking things seriously, he’s just as terrifying as his siblings. The youngest and least powerful of the Archangels took out a Prince of Hell like it was nothing. Gabriels just plain awesome

The fact Gabriel was ever broken by Asmodeus, or captured and sold by those Norse goons, was ridiculous. He should have stayed dead, because he simply repeated his Season 5 arc. I mean, ever since Season 5, the writers couldn’t write archangels like they did in the Kripke years. Raphael in Season 6 was an utter joke, since the obliteration of Castiel and Balthazar were just a hand wave away for him. Then after Season 11, which was meant to be the show’s end - hence why it was a (lesser) redux of Season 5, things truly went off the rails. Lucifer essentially became a monster of the week. Heck, some brass knuckles with symbols was all it took for Mary to beat the Devil bloody. But nothing that happened to Lucifer is as atrocious as Asmodeus *breaking* Gabriel. Gabriel’s formative years were a cosmic war for the birth of creation. How does some Kentucky fried knock-off of Azazel break such a being?

As far as he knew, Gabriel had very little of his grace. Don’t forget Sam and Castiel fed Gabriel a portion. That, and Asmodeus *did* break Gabriel. Which is ludicrous, seeing how Gabriel fought the all-powerful Darkness alongside his three older brothers and his father.

At 5:33 Castiel’s wings. A what-if scenario: What if Castiel(from the main universe) stole his counterpart’s Grace? Wouldn’t it be the same? Not tainted? Therefore, wouldn’t Cas have his wings and powers back? What IF Castiel was sent with Sam and. Dean to that alternate universe, where he’d meet his alternate self? He would be able to fly and heal and stuff properly. Just saying…

I don’t think he’d have his wings back, as his wings are a part of him physically and they were burned off if you know what I mean. But I believe he’d probably be at full power healing and strength wise

@@Pxcza Well, no, Castiel didn’t ‘fall’ in the same way. He had his Grace extracted by Metatron which said Seraph used in the Expelling Spell. Said spell probably shredded his Grace and damaged it. Taking the Grace of his alternate self could potentially fix/heal it and give him his full power and wings back. It’s plausible. I don’t know if anyone’s asked this question to Misha Collins or Eric Kripke.

@ Yes, the Expelling Spell was done using his Grace(Castiel’s), meaning, it’s damaged which also affects his wings. Meaning, if he took the Grace of his alternate self and killed said alternate self, he could heal his Grace and/or replace it. Meaning, he could be back at full power, fly/teleport, etc.

I'm pretty sure all of the yellow eyed demons were juiced up on archangel grace. All of the Princes of Hell displayed some degree of archangel powers and i believe the yellow eyes hinted at that as well.

I worked on the show doing visual effects from season 10-13. I did a few of the shots in the video, including 5:20. The way it was usually done is simply to have a spotlight on the actor when filming, then we would enhance it by cutting out a shape the same size as the actor, blurring it and using it to make that area of the screen brighter. For the wings, we simply had to make the BG brighter with a holdout for the wings.

No, I think they would've been highly inconvenient.. as they would have to come out of their backs, which means there clothes would be ripped, plus with how big they are, it would be very hard to move around, and if they folded them around their body, we wouldn't be able to see the person..
