@@Gurlhmong Yes. A lot of the older hmong think hmong ppl are superior. My parents used to be the same way until my siblings got older and married other races instead of hmong. Lmao. They had to accept it or else they'll never see their sons. They treat the daughters in law quite good, surprisingly. They're bummed that they don't get to live with the youngest son but they understand.

Tu siab. We give such importance to the Hmong sons but neglect to see that the Hmong sons we raised can also be worse than the black son a black family raised. Hmong elders always want their daughters to choose them over their love or spouse, but in their heart, they will only choose and rely on their sons over their daughters. I'm glad this man hasn't gone too far yet to where he can't do a comeback to love his daughter and vauv. He's lucky to have such a big heart vauv who looks at the bigger picture. This is one of God's way of showing this man who he should love and appreciate.
