They had to accept it or else they'll never see their sons. They treat the daughters in law quite good, surprisingly. They're bummed that they don't get to live with the youngest son but they understand.

Hmong elders always want their daughters to choose them over their love or spouse, but in their heart, they will only choose and rely on their sons over their daughters.
