I have my teens and children do their homework up to the percent that they have interest in school. So if they have 7 points in school then I have them go to about 70%. If I forget to stop them at that percent or accidentally let them finish then I just say they were motivated that day lol.

I don't want to sound like I'm telling you what to do, but I feel like you could come up with a different reason to make more sims do their homework - I think most kids in real life don't WANT to do their homework, but they know they have to, so they do... So you could use the above suggestion, or knowledge of the sim's personality to decide if they would do homework or not. Just a suggestion!

Oo, I like this. I usually take into considering if my sim is lazy/serious and then decide if they would do their homework without the want or not. The more lazy and playful a sim is, the more their needs have to be completely in the green before they'll think about doing their work. Although a lazy sim is more likely to complete a task that they've started while a playful sim is more likely to stop if one of their needs has to be met, while a lazy sim might not do something even if they have a want to do it while a playful sim is more likely to do something if they roll the want for it. It sounds more complicated than it is, I don't have like a set number or rule about, just a general sort of guideline.

I only started my first game of rotational pleasantview in ts2 and the twins became good friends in college and I'm disappointed it didn't last long 😔 Lilith is the one who wanted to apologise twice

Lol I know right?! Pleasantview becomes so incestuous so quickly and it’s all because of Don and Daniel! In my current save, Don has 4 kids with Cassandra, 1 with Dina and 1 with Nina. Daniel had 2 with Kaylynn after being kicked out by Mary-Sue, then *he* had one with Nina, then Mary-Sue took him back after like 12 years when they were both nearly elders and they adopted a third kid! So both Don and Daniel have 6 kids each and now the next generation are basically all Pleasants or Lotharios!

@@HerHollyness haha oh damn! In my save Don wohooed with both Nina and Dina a day before he was supposed to marry and got both pregnant. On his wedding day, he got Cassandra into bed because she thought he will marry her anyway so it's ok but guess who ran away after that? Yep. He later moved in with Nina after she started to struggle really hard with her kids and money so that she wouldn't have to be poor. He might not be a family Sim but he still cares. But oops they were a bit unsafe and got another child, Don's only son. Daniel was thrown out by Mary-Sue and immediately moved in with Kaylynn and they started a family. While with her he had a short affair with Nina and they got a child too but they quickly ended things. He didn't want to marry again but still did it right before he became an Elder so that he could be sure that Kaylynn would stay with him and care for him. And well.. after that they got twins 😳 Also fun, all of Daniel's children are red heads and only his twins are boys. So many teen girls desperately searching for love lol

In my game I always give Dustin Angela's last name. As a fortune sim I thought maybe he'd want to separate himself as much as possible from his Broke lifestyle if that makes sense? Plus it keeps the pleasant name going

It's so counterintuitive but sometimes the only way I can get my sims not sick is to send them to work and then I get a pop up 'so and so is healthy again'

I was super excited for the rotation to get to Angela and Lilith because the Pleasant family is still one of my favorites in the entire Sims franchise. WAAAAY too many of my households in TS4 have twins, and the Pleasants are why! hahaha!

I really like how you add new kinds of buildings to the town, like the adoption center, cemetery, pet shop and now even the jail! I wish the developers will actually put these buildings in the next games, that would be very realistic (of course, though, cemeteries exist since Sims 3 and jails too, but you can't see inside, that's a bit of a shame, it would be great to see what Sims do in jail)

Poor Whitney, her birthday being overshadowd by all these other events :D I can't blame you! You make your Let's Plays so exciting & only because you follow your Sims the way you do! Keep it up! I had my WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD infected with the flu once as well. It got so bad that before I could continue to play, I needed to go into every household & make sure they ALL eat the soup! Everyone who was not a family sim got one gifted by a family member of a friend. I had to do this with EVERY household. At first I thought it was a bug until I read that the flu is in fact highly contageous and I just chose to ignore it when it started to spread. Now I'm much more careful! I hope you will get rid of the flu once and for all as well! Thanks so much for your content! About the homework mod: I think it's a great idea, as the Sims stop with it automatically if their fun is not high enough. I think I'll try this out as well! Thanks so much for the tip!

I've always been a little curious about what Angela/Dustin would look like long term. During my first time playing tS2, Angela went to college and Dustin either didn't or went to a different one - it's been over 10 years I can't remember, lol - and Angela ended up being drawn to a young woman in her dorms. They hit it off much better than her and Dustin had, pretty sure they were three bolters, but it's been years, and ever since then the only way I play Angela is if she's a closeted lesbian who comes out after moving out of her toxic family home, which makes her and Dustin destined to break up. That just feels the most natural to me now, but it does make me wonder about the future her and Dustin could've had.

In my current Pleasantview, the twins repaired their relationship in college but when they moved out and got their own places boy did the drama start! Dirk came over to Dustin and Angela’s apartment and WOOHOOED with Angela - thanks ACR 😂 she got pregnant and Dustin kicked her out. Angela, Dirk and their son now have to live in a trailer park because they are broke AF! Lilith is living her best life, she’s a really successful chef and much better off without cheating Dirk!! 😂😂😂

Awesome! Lol I love making jails in my towns, if I have a sim with the criminal career and they fail a chance card/get fired from the criminal career then to me it’s like they get busted. So off to jail with them! This happened to Dustin Pleasant (he took Angela’s name) the last time I did a Pleasantview playthrough. I love leaving things to chance like that and letting the game take control in a way. Also I’ve set up my jails similar to how you have! Yours is so well made though.

Wow, I love that you do jail in your game, Cindy! I do too! And our jails look similar (inside) and have similar rules. I feel so much less like a weirdo, lol. 😅 I actually have a prison for long-term criminals (the inside of which looks like your jail’s interior) where a “prison uniform” is issued, and a separate jail/holding station for criminals who can’t afford bail or aren’t allowed to go home, so wait there for their trial (where they just wear whatever they were arrested in).

I love how dedicated you are to throwing birthday parties for everyone at every birthday! I never used to bother because I hated how the parents had to throw it on the children’s behalf and the children’s friends wouldn’t be there. Then, thanks to you, I discovered Chaavik’s Community Lot Parties mod which includes the ability for children to throw their own parties! (Thank you for recommending it on your church lot download page!) Now I always guarantee kids a birthday party when they become teenagers as they can finally invite all their friends! (But I still don’t bother at any other age because there are so many kids in my neighbourhood I would literally be having 1-2 parties in every household in every rotation!)

I have a rule that sims can only do their homework when they want to, but the parents are allowed to help them even if they don't roll a want. That way they can catch up on their homework in the weekend, or those helicopter parents who want their kids to have good grades can take matters into their own hands.
