She's a great Carmen. You know, casting a soprano for "Carmen" isn't such an operatic sacrilege, I think. I, for one, admire sopranos who expand their repertoire according to their abilities by also doing mezzo roles (and vice versa - mezzo singers on soprano roles, like when Cecilia Bartoli did Susanna on "Figaro"). So that makes Carmen a vers role

AMEN DAVE ! I think this is an incredible rendition of Habanera which I thought Rise Stevens owned, until now ! I think I’m reconsidering after hearing this ! Like you stated, people know what they’re clicking on, and knowing this, how is it possible to give this a bad review 🤷🏻‍♂️? ? I don’t get it ! Even if you don’t like this genre of music, at least rate it OBJECTIVELY and according to how well the performer executed what they set out to do. I don’t like every genre of music out there, however, if the artist performs it well, then I feel credit must be given accordingly. Just my opinion.
