Angela Hewitt's Beethoven Sonatas Vol. 3 for Hyperion Records

The third volume in Angela Hewitts survey of the Beethoven Sonatas for Hyperion Records is to be released in July 2010. Here she talks about the recording process and the venue in Dobbiaco where it was recorded.

Angela is moe brilliant than she is given credit for. And she's given a fair amount of credit.

So, swift pronounces "bloodless." And by what standard does swift offer that verdict for all listeners who care to tune in? Bloodless gives a connotation of lifeless' or unfeeling. I doubt that swift has performed any of those works on a professional level. Any professional I know would be very quick to enumerate the virtues of these snippets we hear, and "heartfelt" and "full of life" would be among the characteristics named. Taking no credit from Goode or Perahia, these are heartfelt performances.
