she is still on reruns in my area on hmm hd every evening from 11 pm cst. ireland of course; the privacy without neighbors right next door. my great grandparents came from there. 1 of my closest friends took her 50 yr. old daughter to ireland for 2 wks. last yr. for her birthday. we loved murder she wrote. she had such a delightful, friendly personality. no one was a stranger to her. rip angela; you left giant footprints to fill here on earth. betty gordon, iowa fan forever ....

Hi yes peat or turf we call it is used for burning and at one time was the only source of heating for the house

Thanks for the tour but the house shown here in Ireland on the coast is the second more recent home she bought since her late husband Peter Shaw passed away! The first home they bought in Ireland in 1970 after the wildfire that reached their home in California and their children getting in with the "wrong crowd and drugs' was a parson's Georgian home more inland than this recent one. It was featured in the magazine Family Circle in either the late 1970s or early 1980s when they finally sold it and moved back to the states just as her kids were beginning to leave the nest! I remember reading about it in the magazine and the photos as well! BTW, you can see photos of the interior of the Brentwood house where she passed away in her book and video, "Positive Moves" her personal diet and fitness routine published in the early 1990s when she was in her 60s. She had an amazing life and career, may she rest in peace~💗☘🙂

After - Lansbury-Shaw -purchased the property, David renovated the interiors, replacing hardwood flooring, a new kitchen with a breakfast nook, family living-room opening to the backyard’s exterior patio, an exercising swimming lane-pool, and a rose garden, that David landscaped…! David supervised the interior’s finish…
