The problem really is the fact that they are politicians - they just don't have a clue about real life. Individuals and companies should pay 20% of all earnings and profits above allowances to the treasury. Higher earners should not pay more or less than anyone else. You want investment you need to have a simple tax system - sadly we have a simple PM.

Many people seem to be unaware that this is exactly what happened back in the 60s when the Wilson Labour government put taxes up so high that many in the richest bracket were paying as much as 90++% in tax on their earnings. A lot of folk in the entertainment world buzzed off to the USA and stayed there. Others went off to Monte Carlo to be anywhere but here. Don't get me wrong, I was at school at the time and loved the 60s but my parents weren't nearly so happy. I do remember my dad complaining they could only take a very small amount of money out of the country when we went on our camping holiday in France so we had to take boxes of tinned and packet food to eat because most of the money would go on fuel. Fuel was much more expensive in France because they put tax on it and we didn't at that time.

It’s scary how much people like her and others in the Labour Party talk about business reveal how little they know and their ignorance. I’m a company director of nearly 16 years, there are three of us who formed the company after we all got made redundant and poured our redundancy money and savings into capital equipment and leased a unit on an industrial estate. We and our families made huge sacrifices to get to where we are today only drawing 5000 the first year, then 8000 the next and so on. It took us years to make a decent profit and lots of hard work and late nights working 6-7 days a week sometimes. Now I pay a lot of tax and the company does also so why do they target people like me? I got absolutely NO help from the government and class myself as working class as my partners are. Never worked and I see lots of people like her at the local hospital. I haven’t seen a doctor for I would say 17 18 years when I know I probably should but I simply don’t have time. My daughter and family left UK 14 years ago to live and work in Australia. Through their hardwork they have made a great success of their life down under. I have pleaded with her never to return here to live. Although I miss them dreadfully I want the best for them and they have certainly got a fantastic lifestyle. Both grandchildren educated privately and doing brilliantly. I have visited them several times and can see the difference between life here and over there. Now we have the famous three ( I wonder if they will be infamous one day ) controlling our lives we will find little by little he will get more authoritarian and it will be don’t do as I do, do as I say.
