I am not normally someone to leave comments, but this design is gorgeous. I especially appreciate you and your attitude toward the whole process of making quilts. You make it seem so manageable. I’ve been watching your channel for a while and I am actually almost done with my first quilt top full of pinwheels. I had to repeatedly remind myself that you make a great point when you’ve said in your videos that a finished quilt is better than a perfect quilt top. Thanks for making these! It’s inspiring. I’ve been having a blast learning to do it on my own

So glad you used the binding ruler to cut the braid pieces. Eliminates all the trimming and throwing out of tiny rectangles. Gorgeous star quilt.

I love this quilt! Can't wait to make this one for my daughter! I've never done a partial seam before, but I love that you make it so easy to understand! Love your videos so much and am learning so much! So impressed with your ability to make quick, efficient work of beautiful quilt blocks! For those of us who have precious little time to enjoy quilting it makes creating praise-worthy, gift-worthy quilts attainable! Thanks, looking forward to this one!

I just finished this today in a patriotic theme. I wish I could post a photo. From a distance it looks good and it’s finished, but definitely not perfect! The pattern has some errors however. I have no idea why the pattern calls for a yard of the star fabric when all you need is one 8.5 inch WOF cut that is then sub-cut. You only need 6 (not 7) 8.5 inch WOF strips of the background fabric to make all the squares. You need two 16” squares and four 11” squares (pattern calls for exactly half) which are then sub-cut. So I had to go back and do some more cutting. And the instructions for cutting the jelly roll strips could be more clear. But thanks to the video and some common sense, it all came together!

Wowzers! As lovely as this quilt is, your quilt stitching is freaking amazing. If I hadn’t seen your hands in the video, I would have thought it was a computerized machine. Btw, as someone who used to dislike quilts because of the color/patterns traditionally used, you make me want to quilt. I love the pattern and color choices you make.

I would call this more of a Y seam. They can be tricky but once you do a few it's not so bad. To make it easier, be sure you mark your quarter inch exactly when you start the seam. The quilt is beautiful. Really easy and fast. Thanks, Angela!

Technically, they are Y seams. But... I was told once by a well-known quilter that in her opinion all Y seams are technically partial seams, but not all partial seams are Y seams. I think that just about sums it up. :)

Angela, you're not doing "partial seams," you're doing set-in seams. Just terminology. You've done a nice job having each one come out perfectly. Sometimes it takes a little practice to get them right. It's a technique definitely worth learning.

My complaint has been as an iPad user craftsy makes you download the pdf to the kindle app. I finally had the bright idea to choose email; send it to myself instead and then was able to save the PDF attachment to my iBooks app no problem. Thought there might be others needing this trick.
@amysmith5863

I was trying to figure out why that would happen to you.....I just downloaded this pattern. Went through the purchase process.....then once it went through I pressed download.....if you were to stop there....yes you have to email it or copy it to download to iBooks. But before you do that.....look up in the right corner and you will see what looks like a clock....press it and it will download the pattern and you can put right into iBooks without emailing it to your self. I hope I explained that correctly. 😊❤️

Amy Smith thanks. I just don’t have the iBooks selection, never have from some sites. Download lots of things from other sites to iBooks no problem; Might be because my iPad is old, but who knows. Thanks for trying though. Thought there might be others who would like to know a work around.
