Lovely quilt. Short story: When I first found your videos I was enamored (?), enticed (?), enthralled (?) with the idea of wine while quilting. I knocked over my very first glass of wine I ever brought to my sewing room! Yes, it was red wine and the fabric was white. 😳. I now have a “drink table” next to my sewing table.

I am so impressed with your technique of quilting the final quilt top. I have been avoiding the final quilt step of quilting the top so much that I have over 40 UFOs waiting for quilting. My mom has a long arm machine but she lives 2.5 hours away so only up there once a month. I have retired recently and am trying to finish some of the UFOs and your techniques and advice are getting my creative juices going. I have just started using youtube to discover the different ways to quilt my tops and my mind is racing with which technique will work with which quilt. I will be doing some of the quilting on my home machine and taking the larger quilts to mom's to use the long arm machine. I love the designs that you are showing and look forward to more.

Angela, I cannot tell you how excited I was to find you on UTube! First, my fear of free motion quilting has defiantly changed, as I watch you get so excited when you get to that ‘quilting’ part of the whole process, although you make each step look fun, even the cutting of the fabric! Your sense of humor with the wine and popcorn is one of my favorite signature traits about you, have you ever spilled that wine? Ok, I didn’t even know how to pronounce Bargello till I watched your tutorial! It fascinates me how you can use solid colors and get the beauty of a quilt without using designed fabric, and I seem to always think I need a special print or think the design in the fabric was so important, and your talent shows the beauty of a quilt by using solids and mastering each step and pattern as well as your quilting skills to show that beauty without the use of print design in the fabric itself. And the power of the use of color selection is spot on! Thank you so much, watched the Bargello once already but back to watch it again! You are an inspiration to us who are somewhat new to quilting, because your humor and excitement is infectious and after watching you, I am ready to run to my quilt place and play, with wine and popcorn or M and M’s (peanuts)!
