I had a root canal done and it's extremely painful because of the nerve pain. It felt like an emergency because if you ignore it the pain becomes unbearable. The new tooth I received looked flawless and you can't tell the difference from my other teeth. So thankful for these specialist! Now that I have better insurance since that incident I'm considering getting more work done.

My husband had his back molar pulled instead of getting a root canal. It's been years and he says he still thinks it was way easier than getting a root canal. Praying for you as you make that decision! And I have friends who go to Disney often. I have no idea how they do it. We just got back this week from our first trip ever. It was a blast but we did everything super cheap and I'm glad. It was still super magical and fun for my kids. Spending a ton on Disney is not what I personally want to spend my money on but to each their own.

When I was pregnant with my 1st child I had tooth infection that went straight to my brain. The pain it was so incredibly horrific, that same pregnancy I had an un medicated delivery ( the tooth pain was so much worse) I ended up having an emergency root canal. They barely touched me and I was bursting in tears. I seriously hope no one ever has to go through that pain.
@rachellynmara2 жыл бұрын
Ashlyn, was this worse than childbirth? I'm pregnant with my first and have no idea what to expect lol. Other than I've had a kidney stone and people say that's nearly as painful
@samanthathick67242 жыл бұрын
@@rachellynmara I've had all 3. Yes I would rather go thru childbirth than serious tooth pain. There's an end to the birth, not to the tooth pain unless it's fixed. Kidney stone sucks too, but they have me pain meds sooo that definitely helped. The biggest problem with toothpain is you can not think about anything else and they won't do anything for you pain wise like they will a kidney stone.

My sister and I went to Disney my junior year of high school with the marching band. My family went at the same time and we stayed a few additional days over Thanksgiving in a house. It was amazing and I'm glad we all had that opportunity once. Now I'm married and my husband is not a Disney freak, so I anticipate we probably will never go again simply because of that, as well as the cost. I am grateful for the wonderful memories and luckily they are still vivid 6 years later.

Right there with you Ange! Life has been happening here also! God bless you with some really great rest! I am learning to take better care of me, the mum who has her finger in every pie so to speak. It’s so important to look after yourself everyday! Take a little rest, if things don’t all get done, at least mumma is rested and happy and healthy for all the kids and stuff for the next shift or next day. I know we all know this but do we do the rest!? Not very often- not often enough apparently. Ps as a once dental nurse, an implant is a better option than RCT anyway, and doesn’t need to be done under GA, just local anaesthetic. Something to consider to make sure you have a tooth to bite up against in the future. 😊 not cheap but very good!

I had a root canal in Oct 2021 and was in SOOO much pain - headaches, I could only just stay in better for like a day. I did take advil and that helped. I am a huge baby with anything teeth related, & a root canal wasn't any worse than a cavity

I am dealing with the exact same thing - cracked tooth. Bottom left last tooth. It has been cracked for months and I just haven’t dealt with it. My dentist and the endodontist told me “the only thing you can predict about cracked teeth is that they are unpredictable “. Even with a root canal it may not take away the pain. I am going to eventually have my tooth pulled. The dentist said it is okay to pull it cause it is the last tooth.

I've always just got my mouth numbed and my molars pulled. My regular dentist is able to do it. No surgery. My wisdom teeth were pulled like that when I was pregnant with my twins and the other molars when I was pregnant. Pregnancies and breastfeeding has really made my teeth brittle! All hormonal. Try apple cider vinegar pills or drink it before meals for the heartburn. Heartburn is caused by low acid levels, which keeps the little flapper thing open. You need more acid in your stomach to make the flapper thing close correctly. Anti-acids meds (Tums and such) help the burning feeling but in the long run ends up hurting you more. Sugar and carbs decrease acid levels too.

I can totally relate to the tooth pain! I wish I would've taken my dental issues seriously when I first knew/ seen I had an issue. I also wish I would've been taking lots of vitamins and dealt with the sickness they caused me during my pregnancies instead of not taking any. Because of not taking my dental health seriously; I had to have all my teeth pulled and healing dentures placed 3 weeks ago. Let me tell you...I would rather deliver a million babies with no epidural than go through this again. The pain was/ is unimaginable and unlike anything I've ever experienced before. Please do not wait until January Angie! I'm no dentist but, It could cause other issues with other teeth. I'll be praying for you! 😊

Hi Angie. First, I'd like to say I love all your content, whatever it is. And sorry about your tooth. Been there, done that and root canals never worked for me, so pulling it is the best answer. Then, I would respectfully like to suggest this. You have a beautiful house and it seems you are always making plans for renovation and redoing things, which you do beautifully. But you seem so stressed over it. Maybe a pause on these plans for a year or two would reduce your stress levels. Enjoy the house as is and you'll make it work for you. Taking a rest from the big changes can only be a huge destressor. I have similar energies and once I slowed down on all the plans, everything became more doable and I was able to regain some peace in my life. Happy Thanksgiving!

Sorry to hear that healthwise it could be better. Hope it will soon get better. It is my experience as well that the closer to your head the more it seems to hurt, or I think more recise it is less easy to distract from. Too bad they couldn't fit you in before Thanksgiving but now you'll have time to heal before the Chrismas holidays are coming. I've had 2 root canals. After the 2nd I said never again! The dentist said I needed a 3rd. It was the back molar. I asked him to pull it. It was so much better than the root canal! Also, it's less expensive for the dentist to pull over a specialist. (I have a gluten sensitivity & the accompanying poor tooth enamel. Something fairly common but none of my doctors told me. Had my first 4 crowns at 22. I still have 3 of them at 68.) Yes my teeth moved a bit, but they were so crowded I can now floss them with the tooth gone.

Disney has raised their prices so much it’s like buying a used car, I used to have a Disney pass and my daughter in law and my 2 grandchildren would go at least once a month, no more. The only really bad part of the root canal was a few hours after the procedure when my mouth came back to life. For a couple of hours it was extremely painful. Rocking helped for some reason. My tooth is still very sensitive.....I have not gotten a crown on it yet....maybe that would help with the sensitivity. Just to clarify that because I am on a blood thinner I could only take tylenol so that could be part of it. Best of luck to you.

Disney is way out of reach for most families. The prices have skyrocketed and it is insane just the cost of tickets to enter the park, let alone food/drinks, or any extras. Luckily, I have been to Disneyland tons of times because I grew up in Southern California and was just a very short 10 minute drive away. My husband proposed there, and we spent our wedding night there before heading to our honeymoon. Disney has a very special place in our hearts. But the cost is just ridiculous now. I really hope one day we can take our son, we live in the midwest now. You would not believe the amount of people that go into extreme debt just to do a family vacation at a Disney park.

We hunkered down and sat at our rented condo for the 2 days and did our park days the weekend after. I have been to Disney a few times, and will confidently count this time as my last. The prices and value for money have to be making poor Walt turn in his grave.
